  1. Awsume!!!!!!!!!!! Just got that Yamaha RXV673 7.2 and ran the new F20's as front wides and Kabaam! Sweet......
  2. So if I put the F20's as front wide and on the presence terminal and say a couple of feet to each side of the F30's? Right? Then keep my surrounds hooked to the surround terminal. The reason I say that is because the surround back will not be used cuz it will cancel out when I go into the Zone2/presence. Can I just put the F20's as surround, my surrounds will now be surround back and of course the F30's will remain fronts? Gezzz, I want to just broaden the sound! I cant believe a 7.2 will not give me what I wanting. The terms you guys use loose me, I will probably just put the F20's in a closet and stay with 5.1. I cant keep upgrading and not achieving my goal here. THANKS FOR EVERY ONES HELP THOUGH!!!!!!!!!! I may venture into buying the 7.2 some day soon, just probably not this weekend now. Not untill I get confirmation on some things. Again, thanks again....
  3. Define Front wide? Meaning slightly to the side of my fronts but angled? Then would I put them as surround and the existing surrounds would now be surround back? If hook them up on the presence/zone 2 terminal, it eliminates the surround back while its on. Meaning That I would keep my existing surrounds still hooked up to the surround terminal. SCREW IT! IM CONFUSED

  5. Im need wiring advice for my HT. I currently have C30 center, 2 F30's for the fronts, 2 F20's on stands for surrounds and 2 SW350 subs. Im now upgrading my AVTuner from a Yamaha RXV471 5.1 to a RXV673 7.2. The reason is BECAUSE I ALSO have 2 additional (new) F20's that I would like to pair up in the front with the F30's. (An F30 and an F20 beside each other on each side of my flat screen. QUESTION: Should I wire the new F20's in the zone2/extra sp/presence terminal? Im slightly confused. Im being informed that the new F20's Im putting up beside the F30's should be hooked up in surround terminal, the F30's will still stay on the front terminals and my existing surround speakers will now be hooked up as surround back/BI amp.

  7. Okie doke, I get what your saying and will roll with that thought. Just seems weird though with speakers that size, thats all... Im guessing the volume at about 3/4 on the subs was ok?
  8. Its a small town going through MO that I saw called Houstonia. Population 202, hahahahah! Its also my first name (Houston) Thought of stopping and claiming it, show my license and crown myself king for a short while...
  9. Dont have a meter but put the subs as everyone advised (bypass) and my tuner is at 80hz. So is keeping my other speakers that I listed earlier set on large a logical move based on their size? Though as stated also my center C3 is set on small. Thats the only one, the rest are on large. Fronts: KF30's and my Surround/Rears: KF20's.
  10. OPPS! AVTuner: Yamaha RX V471 5.1 Fronts: 2-KF30's. Center: 1- C30 Surrounds: 2- KF20's on 16 inch stands. Subs: 2- SW350. Yes it is used for both HT/music. My center is at small even though its a C3, but all the others are set at large. When I ran a YPOA it kept trying to make the F20's small, but I just changed it back. Those F20's are far from small and I the F30's are beasts! What is an IMO and xo mean? I dont understand the terminology? My subs are set on bypass, but the setting goes all the way to 150hz.
  11. Just picked up another SW350. My current setting for my other sub is: AV Tuner is set at 80Hz. On the sub itself it is set at 80hz , volume at 3/4 and phase at 0. Its been sounding good so I put the new one with the same settings as the older one and placed it on the same wall but other side of the entertainment center. Any good advice for this from someone with dual sub settings etc is greatly appreciated. Just found an answer maybe online. Keep both subs set on bypass and put the Tuner setting at 80hz. Volume still the same and sounds okay. Still hoping someone on this site that knows more than myself will put this matter to rest and give advice!
  12. Cool! Youre saying use that splitter at the receiver and run one line to each sub and plug it into LFE side, correct? Will there be any heating issues with the AV Tuner? Then can I put a splitter on each sub to going into the right and left/LFE side (thats how I have it now for one sub). That particular sub has dual voice coils and I was informed that was how I was to activate them... using both sides.

  14. On the back of my sub it has a RCA right and a left/LFE on it. I have a splitter going to that. So Im guesin I would use a splitter at the receiver also. But, will that not mess with my ohms or does that matter if the sub has its own power source?
