  1. I was away in the mountains, just found out.  Bummer.  I believe that leaves Jaimo as the last...

The Allman Brothers were one of my favorite bands in the 70's.

Don't take your family and friends for granted, it's all too fleeting.

    RIP Richard.

On to SIDE 3 (LP #2) - Marillion.  Great album and sound.  Sorry I can't share photos just now dammit, but I WILL post at some point once the photo service comes back online.....

    Good evening Gary,

Really nice record you have spinning there.  It is a great album.  No doubt it is sounding incredibly good!

I'm rolling some smooth Brasil '66 tape over on RTM.

You should listen with tube amplification. I tried NAD, Hafler, Marantz, and Mcintosh. Good results but ear splitting at higher volumes. My current setup is a Bottlehead tube preamplifier and Quicksilver tube Horn Mono amplifiers. And a room to absorb the sound. Carpet, fabric couch, etc.

Yup. That's that's the way to sonic bliss!

  4. My friends and I were just camping west of Missoula, and we're talking about when he played as the house band in Livingston Montana, when they filmed the movie Ranch Delux there.

Not only a wonderful musician, but a very astute business man.

Bought his records in the late 70's through the 80's.  Some fun tunes.

I've done a bit of smugglin'  run my share of grass  I made enough money to buy Miami but I pissed it away so fast

  5. After the huge success of The Lonely Bull, Herb Alpert called the crew back in to the studio and paid them all union scale for the The Lonely Bull Sessions. They went on and cut this hugely successful lp.

? Hi Mossy ! Didn´t knew that you own a Linn as well , or did you sold you Acoustic Solid ?

    Hello George,

Yes, my Linn is an old friend and my all time favorite. It has earned semi-retirement.  I use it with my trusty Cornwalls and Heresy's system.  My main TT is now the VPI Prime which is with the Klipschorn system.

Thanks Mossy, I was young then Liked that silly show but the Green Hornet and the forbidden Mission Impossible were my favorites.

Power went out, my new Liebert UPS did it's job and I'm back up for now!

Sure! Those shows were great fun.  I loved them.  Well done getting a UPS.  It just paid for itself!

    On their tv show?

No, the recording studio for the album.  The TV show was overdubs and lip syncing.  In fairness to Nesmith and Tork, they were musicians.  Micky Dolez was given drum lessons by the studio.  On a side note Stephen Stills auditioned for the part but Tork got it.
