I have replaced my speakers a fourth time, I tested the 3rd at the store and it did the same noise (The dude that tested them heard it also). The 4th one seemed ok at the store, and when I first plugged them in at home. Now I realize that the same sound comes out but when the unit heats up. I unplugged them and let them cool and when I plugged them in again the sound was gone. The sound came back of course after they heated up. I am really loosing my desire to own Klipsch speakers. There is no one I know who owns these same ones so I cannot go listen to theirs. I do know someone who has the older version of the 4.1 and says they sound fine. I also know someone who wanted these but ended up returning them because of another problem and instead got the 2.1s. I am begining to think that it may either be a frequency that not many people can hear (I'm a damn dog), that the allmighty unkown hates me, or just plain and simple Klipsch "computer" speakers suck and THX is a bunch of BS? I can choose to have Klipsch replace them for me but then the possibility of a full refund from Best Buy is out the window =(. After cycling through four sets I would have to doubt the ones Klipsch replaces mine for will sound any better.
After reading so many reviews and convincing myself to buy these speakers, it is hard for me to just give up on them. I post hoping someone out there can tell me specifically what is wrong or being perceived as wrong. I have never owned such powerfull speakers and perhaps this beep is a result of the power and common to high wattage units? I want to try better speaker wires, the ones that come with these speakers do look a little wimpy. I am not an Audio wiz who knows everything about speakers and wires and again hope someone in this bulletin board can help.
Currently I am trying to see if I can reproduce the actual annoying beep some how so I can post the possible frequency and any other information. I would not really call it noise because it sounds like a constant never changing sound. I do know however that at the higher frequencies our measly ears can't distinguish many changes and it could possible be just high frequency noise.
Someone please help =(
Again thanks in advance.
