They sound better with the grills off, anyway this is the case with pro2.1

The cable is Audioquest CV4. I got it from a local retailer. Audioquest have a web site (www.audioquest.com) where you will locate a convenient retailer. The cable consists of 4 solid core conductor (2 are 17ga and 2 are 20ga). you have to twist 1 17ga and 1 20ga for + and do the same for the - connection). Then on the satellite end you have to solder them to a minijack (goldplated preferably) and on the amplifier side use bare wires or pins. That's it. The cable is directional they should go from amp to satellites (follow the arrow on the cable).

Just replaced the speakers cables with Audioquest CV4 and they do really improve the sound quality. I also used gold plated minijacks on the satellities and pins at the amplifier end. Sound is more natural: bass is tighter and more defined, mid range also sounds clearer and a slight aggressiveness disappeared. Promedia 2.1 are now not fatiguing to listen.
