  1. Hey... if I want to wall mount my speakers, do I need the RB-1 attachment, or will others work? Also, what happens if the cable is too short? are there ways around this problem? IE ordering longer ones, some funky extension cablin', etc.
  2. So, on the lowest setting though, is the same volume coming out of all the speakers, and it just gets higher from there? It SOUNDS that on the lowest setting that the rears are a bit quieter by default... *shrugs*.... just wondering
  3. Simple question.... on the 4.1, when I'm listening to music, it comes out all four speakers since I have it setup as 4.1 in control panel. Duh. So... does the surround knob on the speakers on THE LOWEST SETTING mean that the same volume is coming out on all the speakers, and that just turning it up affects the loudness of the rears? I'm trying to figure out a good spot to leave my surround knob at and just curious as to how these are engineered.

  5. Hey, don't worry man, I'm living in London, Ontario and have the 4.1... even reviewed them Envy News - Klipsch 4.1 Review and have had them for over 3 months or more and they are great!
  6. Dumb question How do you wallmount the Promedia 4.1 rear satellites? If you can. Thanks. I know it has something to do with unscrewing the base of them but I thought I'd just ask. Hah.

  8. quote: Originally posted by JohnAcres: I got my 4.1's today... at CompUSA... So far so good except I think the back speakers aren't working casue I don't have the 4.1 sound card. I have the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz... the card is about a year old. So far I love the way they sound. LOL... pleeeeeease don't tell me you're going to use them with a 2.1 only sound card... pleaaaaase????? I believe the Santa Cruz is 4.1? If not.. well that was a waste of money for two speakers you can't use
  9. Now, I have to say, that I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 ..... However... there is something odd I just kinda notice about them. On certain sound frequencies, the tweeter seeems to make this buzzy kinda noise. It's hard to define... like some guitar parts in songs make them.... some piano notes make them... it's just a slight... "buzzy" noise. Anyone else have this "problem" or is the problem my sound source, etc? This occurs with a CD copy or MP3 copy of say a certain song. For example, "Sullen Girl" by Fiona Apple. Any ideas?
  10. JEeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz all this from a posting of a new review A lot of anger here raawwwwwwwwwrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  12. quote: Originally posted by BigBusa: I'm curious as to where you got your 4.1 set? Were they pretested by the supplier before you got them? People buy these speakers because of reviews like yours. That review was done after a very, very short ownership period. It sounds to me like you took them out of the box, hooked them up, then listened for 20 minutes and started praising them. That's pretty unfair to the readers of your review because these speakers are fast gaining a reputation of failing after a couple months. I'd love to see you do a follow up review after you've owned and listened to them for 2 or 3 months. That is, if your original set lasts that long! a) I got them from a computer store in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. They have never had anyone return them. I've owned them for .... *thinks*.... 2 months. So I did not just plug them in and listen to them in 20 minutes. c) I think the reason why they are gaining a reputation of failing is just the horror stories people read in this forum. Did I go to this forum before buying these speakers? Yes. Was I afraid of staticy noises, my subwoofer catching on fire, etc etc etc? Damn right! Have I had those problems? No. I don't think I should be holding my breathe for something that is most likely not going to happen. This message has been edited by OmegaX3000 on 12-13-2001 at 04:37 PM
