  1. Hi,

I'm getting into my turntable again!:D I have over 100 LP's. : Would these Jico's work with my Shure M104E cartridge? If not which one would go with it? Also any sibilance associated with them? I have a Technics 1200 rebranded AudioTek Manual turntable. I also have a Technics Direct Drive SL-QD2 with a Audio-technica AT 92ECD connected to my Onkyo TX 707 receiver. My main problem is sibilance with both. I also have a Shure M97xE, but looking for a cheaper option with the other cartridges with Jico.

    Looking at these:

Also is this the cheapest place to get these needles? I also want to make sure they are not fake Jico.

I'm getting Sibilance with most of my LP's. That's why I'm looking at other carts. I'm tracking them on what it says on the box and setup the turntable anti-skating too on my Belt drive TT. I also have a Direct drive and the same thing happens. I looked at youtube and mostly tried what they said. and to no avail. I have Shure M97XE, M104E and AT 92ECD cartridges. Taking suggestions as well.

    Thank In advance!

  2. I basically have your setup, but I live in a small studio apt. [:D]

This sub is getting lots of buzz and is made by Klipsch: http://www.amazon.com/Jamo-SUB650-Closed-Subwoofer-Black/dp/B0042AKTOG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347328136&sr=8-1&keywords=Jamo+650

For Audyssey XT32 you need a Onkyo 818, which I'd like to get myself one day. http://www.accessories4less.com has a refurb one. I bought my Onkyo 707 from them 2 years with no problems.

  3. Hi,

What is a good budget wireless kit for 7.1 wireless that works well? I have the Klipsch Icon series speakers. I was looking at the JBL wireless kit one, but was wondering If there is another good one for cheaper. I just need it for my surround and rear speakers only. The fronts/center will be wired. Thanks in advance.

  4. Thanks D!

Here are my NEW scores from audyssey (Onkyo 707):

    Front L/R: -5.0db, Center: -6.0, SW: -6.0b I turn
down the volume on the M8 to 9 o'clock(actually between 9 and 10)
position.I re-ran Aud 5 or times and pretty much got the same scores.

    Front: 70hz(changed to 80hz THX), Center: 60HZ, SW: 120HZ

Speaker distance - Front L/R: 8.5 Ft, Center: 8.0 Ft, SW: 10 Ft.

Not sure if I like the settings volume seems low and bass vol is way down from my 1'oclock position. Any advice?

  5. Cool thanks derrick. I ran Audyssey and got...

    Front L/R: 0db, Center: -1.5, SW: -15.0db(change it to -7.0db) Not sure why t was -15.0db I re-ran Aud 4 times.

    Front: 100hz(changed to 80hz THX), Center: 60HZ, SW: 120HZ

Speaker distance - Front L/R: 8 Ft, Center: 7.5 Ft, SW: 10 Ft

Slight noise outside my window. All closed though. What do you think?

  6. I don't like the auto calibration it gives me. I like to adjust mine manually. I may try one of those DVD's maybe the disney one(do I need a meter if I use this dvd?)Derrick what are your settings? Mine is and I like what I hear:

    Fronts: +5.0db(80hz THX) Center: +6.0db(100hz) Woofer: +2.50db(120hz)

Would like to hear your thoughts on my settings.
