  1. I have a pair of Forte III's for sale. These are "B Stock" due to there being too much knotting in the veneer but they still look amazing. There is one light scratch on one of them. Its very hard to see but its there. These have the lambswool grills from the Distressed Oak version and I think its an awesome looking combo. Makes them look very mid century instead of retro. The stock black grills are also included though.

  2. Selling my complete twin duel opposed Stereo Integrity HT18 setup. Moving to a new house and need the cash.

These will have to be local pickup only from Canton, MI 48187. They are absolute beasts. They shake my entire house and they sound fantastic. Unbelievable! They will still be setup in my theater to test drive until we move. I would like to sell everything as a set. Asking $2000 for everything

    here is the breakdown:

Dual opposed enclosures are made from 3/4" 13 ply Baltic Birch. 26H x 31.25"W x 23D. they come to about to about 7cft. net volume. and are each stuffed with 6lbs. of poly fill. They are stained with Min-wax Dark Walnut and finished with three coats or Arm-r-seal satin poly. I designed them to match with my older Heritage style speakers. I had La Scalas and then Cornscala's. So if your looking for a subwoofer system that can keep up with your Klipsch Heritage speakers and match them well, these are the ticket!

the Drivers are 4 x Stereo Integrity HT18 D4's. each box is wired for a total 4 Ohm load

amps are 2 x Behringer EP4000's. they put about 900 watts rms into each driver

EQ is a MiniDSP balanced unit. all cables included.

Weight? not sure. maybe 100 lbs a piece

you can check out a small thread here:

Very clear midrange and top end. Highs are smooth, airy and detailed, not harsh at all. Bass is very strong. They are fantastic speakers.

If you have been interested in building a pair of these, now is your chance for a great deal!

$1300. Local pickup only from 48187

the horns seemed kinda thin so i wanted to insulate them a bit. Got this idea here on the forums and it works great. That Gorilla tape is very thick. much thicker than your standard duct tape, but you can still rip it by hand. i applied it in 6-8" strips.

the horn driver is heavy and needs a support bracket. this is the brace a made for the support bracket. it also serves as internal bracing.

  4. Thank you. Im very pleased with them. i use them for two channel and movies, although i like like to run the Cornscalas alone full range with music listening. More listening may change that. we will see. They definantely add oomph.

I just watched the final battle scene in The Avengers. Also the Lightening strikes and Pods Emerge from War of the Worlds. Both scenes flickered the clip lights regularly.......I have never been more afraid of breaking my house or having the cops called on me!! And thats with only 1 amp, 300 watts per driver. I cant wait to send 1000 watts at each of them!! Actually, im kinda nervous........

  5. I recently built a pair of dual oppsed subs styled to match my Cornscalas. I used a current box and brace design, but modified it to have the look of Heritage speakers. I though you guys might appreciatte them. [H]

    Specs:

    Drivers: Stereo Integrity HT18 D4 x 4

    Enclosures: 6.75ft^ Net volume. 13 ply Baltic Birch. 23 x 26.5 x 31.25. 6lbs Wally Mart poly fill

    Amps: Behringer EP4000 x 2 both bridged = ~1000 watts per driver

  6. Ok. That's it. I'm going to start getting really picky with the beer selection if someone doesn't buy these lol. Don't be afraid of transporting these if your local. I have a mini van that I think both will fit into. But that will double the beer cost.

How much beer to deliver them to Charleston SC ?

Lol. Sorry. I can only help out locally. Like within an hour from me.

  8. $350 + a 6 pack of good beer for each sub/amp set. thats $700 for everything.

you cannot even buy the driver and amp for that price!!

Due to some complications with the layout of my basement, i am selling these before they even get to be used down there. I did use one in my living room for a while and they are great subs. I wanted them to blend in to their surroundings so i trimmed them and painted them to look like columns. They turned out great.

they are the 24.5" wide versions.
The total dimensions are 72.25" x 26.25" x 19". That's at the biggest points rounded up to nearest 1/4"

They are made with 1/2" Arauco plywood, PL Premium adhesive, 10-32 hurrican nuts and #10-32 x 1-1/2" Black Machine security head Screws.

The trim is 1/2" Arauco ply with a 1/2" trim piece. the trim is not glued to the subs so it can be removed. its attached with a brad nailer so it is very secure if you wish to keep it on.

I used the Dayton RSS390HF-4 driver with these and they are each powered by their own Dayton SA230 sub amp. Great match up. The amps look very nice and have plenty of power.

You can see by the pictures that they look great, however the backs are not as perfect so i am including some pictures of the backs. I used bondo to fill in a 1/4" gap on one of them instead of trimming the edge so the overall depth would not be effected. The top lip panel was trimmed a bit curved on one of them and i left the binding posts on when i painted, so that area could look better as well. These are very minor and obviously dont have any effect on the performance but youll want to know that.

here are some build threads on them:

Heres mine from the BFM site. (hope its ok to link it). posting this because i describe an issue about not applying pl to a joint and how i fixed it. I did get the joint to open up and pushed pl into it, so i can assure you there is no problem with it. super strong joint. no leaks.

    $350 + a 6 pack of good beer each sub/amp set or $700 for everything/B]

Im asking less than the price i paid for the parts, so i think this is an incredible deal. Local pickup from 48187 only. Thanks for checking them out!

Getting these hurricane nuts glued in was messy. i figured i would push them in a bit to start then run a bead of pl around them before i pulled them in.

  9. i dont have space for a third La Scala

I'm thinking if you don't have space for a 3rd La Scala, then perhaps you don't need a center channel at all.

A pair of properly deployed La Scala can throw an awfully convincing phantom center depending upon how well your AVR can matrix the surround sound encoding.

thats what im doing now and it works fine on center but once you move off to the sides you lose that ancored ound.
