  1. I have recently bought a new pair of speakers and am moving away from my 300B amplification. Therefore I am offering up this pair of EML 300B output tubes. They have very little use and are as new. Original box and paperwork included. Beautiful tubes that have to be seen and heard in person to truly appreciate. $500.

  2. I don't listen to these headphones enough to justify keeping them, so wanted to offer them for sale here. They are like brand new with no flaws. Very little use guys; they could probably still use some burn-in time. What little I used them, they were driven by my Cary 300SEI's headphone section. I have all the original goodies just as they came brand new. $950 shipped. For anyone interested, please contact me for more pics.

Here is a link which shows how they make the wood ear cups. It's quite an interesting process.

  3. This is a great sounding Class A 300B integrated guys...just need more power for my Joseph Audio speakers. The factory upgrades really separate this unit from a stock 300SEI sonically. I've owned both and can vouch for the sonic value being worth the extra. My Tyler Acoustics PD15 speakers have already sold, so the Cary is just sitting in the closet. It's too nice if an amp to keep in storage. Would love to see this go to a forum member if possible.

  4. Due to a recent system change, I am offering up my Cary 300SEI integrated amp for sale. It is the current model, only about 1.5 yrs old and has very low hours.  This amp was ordered upgraded from the factory with Clarity caps, Hexfreds, Greyhill switch, Kimber cable, etc. It sounds phenomenal. Silver faceplate with metallic black gloss chassis.  No visible flaws and I have all the original boxes, remote, manual, packing, etc. It comes with the factory Genelex 300B output tubes.  Input tubes are ElectroHarmonix 6SN7 pair and the driver tube is a Shuguang.  If you would like NOS tubes, we can talk about that for a little extra.  I used it with NOS 6SN7 tubes and a pair of EML 300B's, so the factory tubes have very little hours and could still use some burn-in.  New price for this amp was over $6400.  I will let it go for $SOLD.

  5. I didn't sell it from not being satisfied. I thought it was a great sounding amp. I sold it because it was just sitting unused. I moved over to single ended amps, and it was too good of a piece to sit unused. Pass makes great amps!

  7. Thanks.  I still think I would feel better springing for the scout version.  I think I may as well go for something completely different which the scout represents.

Just my opinion and my ears, but I listened to both tables at my local dealer before purchasing, and I preferred the overall sound of the Classic 1 to the Scout.  Had more "heft" to my ears, if that makes sense. And there was no more noise associated with the integrated design. Of course, to each his own.  Both are great tables.  However, I prefer the Classic. Wish you the best in your purchase.  :)

  8. Is the motor completely isolated like the scout?

I have a Classic 1 like this where the motor is not completely isolated...However, I have yet to ever hear motor noise.  Harry W. did an amazing design with this when he incorporated the motor within the plinth.  It's really amazing how well it is isolated.  To my ears it sounds just as quiet as the isolated motor positions in the units such as the Scout.  I looked at both designs closely at my local VPI dealer before ultimately purchasing the Classic 1.  I could not hear a difference in the isolation, and ultimately preferred the unit in one piece vs. two.  I would love to have the option for VTA "on the fly" like is provided in this Classic 2 model, but can't justify the difference it will cost me at the moment.  Maybe down the road though.

  9. Beautiful table man.  I have a VPI Classic 1 with a Soundsmith Zephyr that I really enjoy.  Best of luck in your sale.  These are VERY nice turntables and built like tanks.  If anyone is on the fence about one of these, go for it!

  10. Very nice! I've owned Audeze LCD 2's in the past and thought they were great. These are supposed to be even better but haven't had a chance to hear them. GLWS. I would jump on them if I were in the market. Great seller here folks, for those who may be in doubt.

  11. Good price. I have a pair and I do not use them enough either. But when I do, wow. Amazing sound and great noise isolation with a great seal. Good luck with your sale. I gave $ 505 for mine. 3 drivers really make a difference.

I agree, great price on some very nice triple drivers.  Can't go wrong at this price folks.

  12. I am moving within the next month so have been cleaning house.  I am offering my Shure M3D cartridge up for grabs. It came from an estate sale and still has the original stylus, which still sounds good despite some wear. The original box and stylus guard is included.  This was Shure's first stereo cartridge and has the more highly sought after round body, being an earlier edition.  I used this with my Garrard 301 idler drive, which has already been sold.

I also purchased a NOS Shure N21D stylus still in box with paperwork. The stylus is still protected in the original tubular capsule. Most folks seem to seek out this rare stylus replacement, as it can track much lighter than the original stylus that comes with the Shure M3D cartridge. You can mount the M3D and start listening, or replace the original stylus with the N21D. Its a nice choice to have, as these needles simply slide in and out of the cartridge body.

I am willing to sell the M3D for $125 and the N21D NOS replacement stylus for $100.  I am willing to separate.  If buying together as a package deal (recommended), I can do $200.  For anyone interested further, contact me for more pics.
