  1. Right. But I also thought it meant something else. I thought those were the real old models and that they had a difference.
  2. As some of you know I am a very proud new owner of a pair of Kg4 speakers. Unbelievable sound. Anyways, I noticed on some of the KG4'S that in the center of the passiveon the rear they have whire markings that say WK with like a v behind them or something. Mine do not have any lettering. I've heard that the real older models have tge markings and the slightly newer ones don't. And that the ones without the markings have some kind if tweeter protection or something. Can anybody clarify and elaborate on this for me? I would really appreciate it. Thanks
  3. Thanks for the advice. But I'm actually gonna keep it because the KG4's are my first Klipsch speakers so while I know where you're coming from I think its fitting. Thanks for the advice and replies either way. Nice to meet all of you guys
  4. I live in Atlantic City, NJ Larry. Thanks to everyone else btw for all the replies. My names Mike btw.
  5. Thanks for the info. Gretsch always sounded great to me. Good guitar. Im an acoustic man myself now. Just picked up a new Martin. Couldn't be happier. Take it easy.
  6. Hows it going everyone.. I'm new to the Klipsch community and just wanted to introduce myself. I could'nt find a place for introductions, announcements wouldnt let me, so I posting here. I am a recent first time owner of Klipsch but not necessarily new to Klipsch speakers. My father, when I was a kid, was somewhat of an audiophile and always swore by Klipsch. I still remember his Cornwalls that he had and how I could here them two blocks away as a kid. lol. They are the only brand of speakers that have ever stuck in my head. Even as a kid I was impressed by the clarity and punch they had. Anyway, I've played guitar my whole life and have a good ear and nothing beats quality vintage equipment IMO. Well I'm 30 now and really wanted to get into Vinyl. I figured I'd ask my father if he still ahd that nice looking Tuntable. Turned out he did and it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful and mint JVC QL-A75 and put a brand new Empire 600LAC cartridge in it which my father never used. One of the most underated TT's around. He also gave me his Vintage Onkyo A-7 amp, which is a beast and also mint. Nice of him because hes not rich or anything like that. So I needed Speakers. I searched around and started to fall in love with the Klipsch KG-4. So I waited for the right deal, and picked a pair of practically mint set in walnut up for $275 with shipping on Ebay. Once I got the placement right, wow. Thats all I can say. Amazing speakers.Clarity, midrange, and pack an amazing punch in the bass. They match up perfectly with my set up and I will put it up agaisnt anything in the $2000-$2500 range. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say I will be around here for a long time. I will never go with anything but Klipsch.
