  1. It seems most peole here recommend always setting your front speakers to small even if they are towers. What is the advantage to that. I am new to all this stuff. I have front towwer speakers and the book for the reciever says to set towers as large. My Subwoofer turns on and off a lot because it has a automatic shutoff if it does not recieve a signal for awhile. I wonder if setting the fronts to small would help this because all the bass would be sent to the sub. I would probably have to set the crossover higher then right?
  2. I have a kenwooed reciever model vr-507. The sub attached to this has an automatic shut off when it does not have a signal for a certain amount of time. It seems to cycle on and off a lot. I was wondering if setting the crossover higher or lower is better to try to stop this. I think the reciver has a built in crossover filter also.
  3. The gold connectors worked. They are only like $2.50 a piece a Radio Shack. I just got the solderless ones and connected them to the standard wires. Everything is fine now.
  4. If the rca jack on my wires move move even the least little bit I either get crackling or the sound disapears from that speaker untill I move the wire aound to get the sound back. I read in another post this might be possible to fix by changing the connection or adding some sort of adapter with gold connections. Does anyone have any experience with this working, I love these speakers besides that. I have my back speakers on stands and if I move the stands and it moves the wire where it connects to the speakers I get problems. Please help.
