I/m pretty much commited to biamping my forte's and since i'm doing that it brings to mind ; well what if i used the mid horn and or tweeter horn from another klipsch speaker and just made them fit in my forte cabinets? the object being greater sensitivity of the other horns .
Or am I not understanding some basic phenome?
Each speaker has a different number coresponding to the horns in them . the forte's have K-75 tweeter and k-53 mid range . the cornwall 2s have k- 79 and k-57 horns ,But they are the same Size?
so whats the difference ? how do the Cornwalls get 3DB more sensitivity . is it just the bigger box ? is it the crossovers? Are the K horn, belles , la scala s more sensative because of the box design ?
thanks \
