If they were closer...

Thanks for all the help guys. I mainly listen to rock, classic rock, and some Celtic music (yes ino wierd combo) lol. I also am looking at arotel amp combo would that pair with klipsch speakers nicely or do I need tubes? Thanks guys and jmon I pm you.
I don’t see what you’re listening to as weird. A lot of us listen to everything. I listen to Celtic and Bluegrass, Rachmaninoff and Mendelssohn, Tool to KD Lang – just not all at once.
I’m not going to get into which speaker is better. I have a few of what you’re looking for, but a test by me would be tainted in that some are modified while others are series two. I do like one over the other, depending on what I’m listening to. The sound will be determined be the room, the amp and, most of all, you, the listener.
Although I want to get into tubes, you don’t have to have them. I do, however, like the sound of solid state over digital, a lot. Like others have said: I would put the Cornwall on the list. Also, unless your listening area is real large, I would recommend the Forte be heard before you buy.

I've not watched what they're selling for, new or used. When I set up a HT, one of these is on that list.
Here is a black one you want.
Klipsch rf-83 towers and rc-64 center - $2000 (homestead fl)Good luck
-
I'm thinking 10 of those long wheel base Tens would separate the Jackson guy from those speakers...
What you found look like the better offer for today.
I like this
But they're too high and too far
-
None ofthis is mine:
I'll consider separating the system too. Price will be as follows if I separate:
RF-82s $600
RC-64 $600
RB-3s $200
Sub-10 $200
I'll entertain reasonable offers, but no lowball offers.
Send your number or I will not reply (to much spam) I will seperate speakers. They are in great shape. Black ash color. I also have an svs pc12 nsd (bash) amp for sale. $500
Rf-83 = 1000$
Rc64= 600$

Great setup- in very good condition. I will attempt to describe the state of each speaker as accurately as possible.
Klipsch RC-64 Serial Number: RC64BK 08300159
Condition 8/10
-Several nicks on right side panel
-Several nicks on left side panel
-Small skid on bottom corner of left side panel

The ones in Jackson look the best, forthe money...good luck

Thanks James!
Have them setup at computer desk in place of the KG-4's and played a couple of songs for Nancy. She appears happy...so far. Some broken grill pegs and missing the feet but understand these are around 15 years old and have been sitting in the garage for a bit. I may get the feet somewhere later.
The sub turned out to be an 8SWV like I got once before in a Klipsch deal. Nothing special but, I may hook it up for a time, at least to check it out before unloading it. Need to make 2 jumpers for one speaker as just have the LF connected. No biggie! Speaker wire too, nothing exotic.
As soon as I am alone, I will take the RF-3 for a spin and see what I have. Certainly no complaints. LOL
I need to listen to more of the Reference Series speakers. Lori has a marathon the weekend of January 18 and I hope to add other stops while we’re in the area.
I have some brass shim stock that should be perfect for your jumpers, I need some too. We need to see if they're the same as what's on others, such as KLF or Epic, to model.
What feet are gone? My latest haul are missing their peg legs.

Congrats Billy.

If that 1104 is close, you should grab it. That's a ridiculous price.
What state is that in?
Nope. Nowhere near me
Here is a claimed to be new one for $400,
"QSC PLX 1104 Used Amp about 4 times,It is my back up amp and I just bought new Powered speakers,....."
-
smokin deal would be the ones i picked up exactly like these for 450$.
Yea, I missed those by that much. The ones I did get won't look as good as yours, but the ALK and dampening modification has me impressed.
-
Anything over 500 is not a deal on old Cornwalls...
How old are they?
Worth is like beauty. If they are as mint as the seller says, $600 wouldn't be, IMHO, a bad price. Since I have too much already, they're not worth what's being asked. Looking at completed sales for Forte on ebay show them at $500 and up. Other than the exceptional deal, what can someone buy for less than $600?
-
Now I want one..
Since we're on the QSC, someone in the area might want this:
"PA GEAR .....
qsc plx 1104 power amp 1100 watts....$250all gear is in MINT SHAPE, prices are frim, no shipping, local pick up, you can contact me @ 508-373-8039 mark, NO EMAILS, i will not answer, pictures on request....also would do a trade on some of the gear, i'm looking for some QSC K12 OR QSC KW 152 main's....nothing else thanks,"

where is hudson valley?
NY

Wow, that is a sweet deal!!!
Heresy, Forte, and electronics.
The top left speaker looks too thin to be a Heresy.
I agree, but the bottom one makes up for it, though.
What do you think they are?
-
it didn't stick lol
-
Windiew, this is one set of the legs I was talking with you about. There should be 8 sets.
Thanks,
James
-
Great deal. I am so glad they are too far for me to get, or I would own them.
-
I have seen them listed for as little as $400, if they were closer I’d own them.
These have been listed for several months:
http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/ele/4087579494.html
This was a great deal since it came with a Yamaha receiver
These were CF3s and looked great. I don’t know what they got for them and the other equipment offered.

Hope this helps,
James
Thanks very much; very helpful.
You're welcome.
If you will let me know of how much, I might be intereseted in them. PM sent.

They're junk and should be given to me...
I do want a pair of these to go with my CF-3s. As Youthman said: location, condition and pics will help us help you. What wood are they?
-
I have to admit that I like the looks of them, but if they weren't horn heavy before.......
-
How do they rate with your KLF20s?
-
Yes, I'm sure there are people interested in the other gear.
This forum will be down for maintenance (link) but post what you have when you can.
Thanks,
James

Sorry warrior. If I were in your area, I would do my best, to do my duty…Scouts Honor. Your grill and badge, you earned, should live on as a center in someone’s system; hopefully as a thumping trooper between some LaScallas, Belles, or maybe/hopefully some Khorns. I would give your cabinet a funeral pyre of commemoration knowing you reproduced music as only you could, Paul would be proud of you
RIP
Thanks to the OP and the CL lister who would prolly give it away rather than know it went into a dump.
