the one cab I got into has a k55v and k400 aluminum horn. Here is the tweeter, a ceramic k77?

I finally got into one of the tops, it has AA xovers, and k55v drivers, and aluminum k400 horn. Now one thing Im not sure of is the tweeter, is this the ceramic k77? i wiped it down and feels like rough aluminum or metal?, theres only a set of numbers on it. no other markings that I see.

They are awesome,, I just spent an hour in the garage sitting in a lawn chair listening to them. , but, I will prevail with some home use cabinets by summer,

I tried to take a pic with my phone in the cabinet, and what little bit I could see and compared to web images, they appear to be the AA, I cant get my big hands in the hole to figure out how tow unhook the wires to pull the horns out of the cabinets. Im not guaranteeing AA though until I figure out how to take at least a picture of the markings. Ive never shipped anything like this, so all arrangements would have to be made by buyer including the pickup by a freight company. I would no know how to begin to ship these beasts.

Im in west central florida, I absolutely love the sound of these, but I need to please the wife and start looking for veneered one piece cabinets. I have these on local craigslist for $1000 but would sell them to someone on here for $900 for all the help I've received. The cases have road wear, but sound incredible.

Well they are on craigslist, hopefully someone can enjoy them, and I can start looking for some that pleases my wifes eye!

In my main listening room I currently have a set of anthony gallo's reference series, my bedroom has a set of pardigm, and my sons room has a set of dynaco a-25s. Trust me, I will own a set of "pretty" lascalas or khorns within the next 6 months

Well, I tried to pull out the horns to look at them, I took out the cup, which is all metal, and it appears like everything is soldered from crossover to to the cup. I cant get my hand in to really feel for any spade type connections ( I have gorilla hands my wife says). I tried to stick my phone into the cab to take a pic, but all I can see is silver caps in the pic. hmmm. I think Im going to through these on the garage sale list and put the funds toward a veneered one piece set, my wife loves the sound of them, just not the appearance. So, to keep momma happy I guess these will have to go. I have a set of cf-3's and heresys that need to go as well. Thanks for all the help so far, I guess I could list these as fiberglass models the way it looks and sounds.

I can see edge of plywood around the horn, did they put fiberglass on top of plywood?

I definitely do not want them to be polished to a chrome or stainless type finish, I prefer dull aluminum actually. Im just trying to get them presentable, or sell them and find some that re living room ready.

Well, I read your replay a couple hours too late, I sanded one piece enough to remove the scratches and dings. I need to figure out how to post pics so I can show you what I am working with.

Hello all, I was researching my new to me lascala lsi splits and came across this foru,. I picked these up from the original owner he was ain a traveling jazz trio for 25 years and these were their pa speakers. They sound incredible, right now im powering them with a marantz 2226b with an ipod hooked up streaming MOG. such incredible vocals, too bad I have them in my concrete floor,block wall garage. I started sanding the gouges out of the aluminum edges, but I may just take them all off and take them to a metal polishing shop and see what they would charge to sand them smooth, not polished to chrome, just sanded smooth. These have metal plates where the binding posts are on the top trapezoid, with consecutive serial numbers. they are wood with black paint that is flaking in areas. Im not sure if I can get them in good enough condition for my wife to allow them in our living room. Im considering selling them and puttting the funds toward a nice set of veenered. What a great load of information I have gathered so far from this forum! Btw, I also have a set of heresy's, and cf-3's as well. right now my main speakers are a pair of anthony gallo reference 3.1's Do is sell and look for "pretty" lascalas or dig in deep with elbow grease and hope for the best...
