  1. I will be travelling along the I-75 on the way to Florida during the November 29 - December 10, 2014 time period.

I am looking for a Behringer ECM 8000 microphone like the one in the image to use as a secondary reference for room analysis and also for my K-Horn tweaks (one project will be implementing my Trachorn 400's perhaps going to an active crossover).

Other deals I am interested in if the price is right, is a suitable cartridge for my Philips 212 (Shure 97 or Shure V15) or even a Philips 212 parts table.

I may be interested in a Technics 1200 as well (the Philips 212 will be the table I use to get back into vinyl).

  2. The ad is for best offer. I wish people would just put an asking price.

    I haven't heard wooden horns, only my 1984 k-horns.

I definitely prefer dealing with an asking price as many times the seller can be insulted if the offer is deemed too low (this just happened to me today when I replied to an ad for some NOS Behringer gear that has been replaced by a newer model).

  3. I seen this ad on CAM this morning and was going to post it to the forum.

The seller mentions that the 1956 set he is selling "sound far better than any modern Klipschorns".

So far, I have only heard my 1985 vintage K-Horns and two different sets of 1977 vintage K-Horns which all sound excellent.

  4. If applied to a clean surface holding almost no real weight, I would imagine that they should cling tite for a few decades.Best regards,

    John

I actually used 3M tape when I scratch-built electrostatic speakers years ago (to fasten the diaphragm to the metal stators) and also to fasten the Saran-like film to the dust covers of various Quad electrostatic speakers I have rebuilt over the years. Ironic how this 3M tape will be useful for me for my 1985 K-Horns!

  5. I have a pair of the rectangular copper badges, and a pair of the pie slice badges. Both brand new condition. If interested, please email. No PMs, please.

Below are examples. Not my pictures.

I am interested in the copper badges.

What is the price shipped to Ontario, Canada?

How do I send you an email? The system only seems to allow PM's.

    Thanks.

    Greg

PS. I added you as a Friend.

  6. I am looking for a set of Klipsch speaker badges to put on the front of my Klipschahorn grills.

If anyone has a set or can make some, please send me a PM.

PS. I found some nice ones on ebay - I prefer to buy some from someone in the Klipsch forum community.

    K85Horn,

May we assume you have 1985 model Klipschorns that you are wanting badges for?? The stles changed on the badges over the years and just wanted to be specific on which badges and how many you needed?

    Roger

Correct - mine are the 1985 Klipschahorns and I am looking for one pair.

  7. I now have a set of Klipschahorn Grill sets that John Toon of this forum built for me over the holidays.

John did an excellent job and payed attention to all the little details (ie. the mounting hole for the K77 tweeter and bracket assembly).

The grills were very well packaged and I am extremely happy with his work.

    Here are some pictures of John's work from his website;

Feel free to PM me if you need any details regarding the grill set John made for me.

    Thank you John Toon.
