  1. Just checked it . Goes out my budget mate 😩 . Got some awesome reviews though . Thanks !
  2. Hmm ... absolutely no problem buying a used one as long as I can test it before buying . I used a Rotel power amp for a while to power my front speakers which I bought for a $250 and it worked really well . Sold it for almost same price to add some money in my piggy bank for the next purchase . My Budget is around $1500 and I the SR7012 is on special price as the dealer as a few left in stock which he wants to get rid off . It's for $1350 which fits in the budget .
  3. Hi all , I need a little guidance with this . My current 7.1 set up is as below Pioneer VSX 1123 Fronts : RF 62's ii Center : RC 52 Surrounds : RS 62 ii Rears : R15M''s Sub: SVS SB2000 I have bought a turntable so was looking at buying a stereo amplifier with HT bypass . The dealer suggested me an option of upgrading my Pioneer to Marantz SR7012 saying it is great for 2 channel music listening , has a great phono stage and it will also improve my overall HT performance a lot over pioneer. Has anyone used an amp with HT bypass or have SR 7012 ? Not sure what would be a right path . Help please !!! Thanks heaps !
  4. Hi there, Need some help.I am getting a good deal for Music Hall 15.3 Integrated amp for my RF 62 floor standers. I can see some good reviews on the net. Looks like they are neutral to warm sounding.I can't find any NAD 326bee here in Auckland as they are all upgraded to new models which are a bit out of my budget.Music Hall 15.3 is the next one which fits in my budget. Getting 40% off. Has anyone got any experience with these amps ?
  5. Gave a bit of a thought . I don't mind spending a bit more looking at long run . Don't mind adding more speakers slowly . So I am checking some mid to high end av reveivers . The two the dealer recommended are Yamaha RXV 675 7.2 ch & Pioneer VSX 1123 7.2 ch amps. I could connect pioneer to Klipsch rf 62 there & heard them , Sounded good . Good base & sounded warm while playing on pure direct . He somehow could not connect yamaha !! He also mentioned that Pioneer have a few more futures like 4k pass through to future proof . Again I am a liitel hesitant with Yamaha knowing they are bright apms . Getting a bit inclined towards Pioneer . Have anyone have any experience of Pioneer amps with Klipsch ?? Thanks !
  6. Yesterday I could hear a couple of subwoofers . The dealer suggested Velodyne impact 12" subwoofer for my Yamaha RS300 & Klipsch pair . Costs around NZ$822. which fits in my budget . Also thinking should I upgrade to 5.1 channel receiver , just incase , in future I plan to add speaker to make a HT. Would it matter if I play only two front RF 662's & a sub on a 5.1 receiver ? They have a few options to fit my budget Denon DAVRX500B , Yamaha RXV 375 & Pioneer VSX323 ?? Or just stick to the my Yamaha RS 300 stereo ?? My use would be movies as well as music . Any suggestions would be helpfull . Thanks !
  7. No worries Bill . Going to the dealer tomorrow to see some subs . See how it goes .
  8. Thanks guys , just checked my RS 300 .It has a subwoofer preout . Spoke to the dealer & going to see some subs. They are around NZ$500 + . Also would check RS 700 to see the price difference in case I plan tp upgrade the receiver. He is happy to xchange as well . . Shall let you know soon . Cheers !
  9. Need some help. I have bought Kliptch RF 62 speakers & Yamaha RS 300 Stereo receiver. The speaker wattage is 125 Watts per channel & the receiver is 50 watts per channel . I like overall sound when I am watching movies but don;t get that punch of bass while listeing music . I read in the forums that RF 62 are bright speakers & Yamaha receivers is not a good match . Would I get more bass with higher wattage receiver , say 100 watts per channel ?? What brands & watts of receiver I should look for ? thanks !
