  1. @billybob Rush is a great band My take on them is that they are a prog version of Black Sabbath May I recommend the Rush Chronicles as a fantastic compilation ( I have it on Digital Media )
  2. And finally the last title the band Japan released to finish this session Its a double album from mostly live performances with some studio enhancements This is a very good album to own and listen to Artist - Japan Title - Oil On Canvas

  4. This afternoon I am spinning a trio of records by an English band named Japan A combination of styles from art rock, new wave, synth pop, post punk in genre with tight musicianship This is a compilation album just to get me going Artist - Japan Title - Assemblage

I believe that members kept on leaving The second album was a commercial failure and Colombia dropped the band They were preparing for a third album when that happend and it never eventuated Some time later the master tapes were stolen and a bootleg album was released followed in 1994 by a record company release I believe that they still tour

  9. Next on the turntable is release number 2 On this album Bill Bruford ( from YES was the drummer ) The credit was in the name of William Bruford Artist - Pavlov's Dog Title - At The Sound Of The Bell
  10. My weekend spinning has started I have the duo of Pavlov's Dog This first album was released twice almost simultaneously on two labels Many may remember the single - Julia and the unusual voice of the lead singer Artist - Pavlov's Dog Title - Pampered Menial

Be aware that this album is the first release from 1976 - and it has an alternative cover It differs from the second "Remake " release about 10 years after The second Remake release introduces Orson Welles Orson Welles' narration does not appear on the 1976 mix of the album. It just so happens that I have some select pressings from a few more artists to share This is the only album I have of this band - but this album is considered to be a masterpiece Others say that its one of the most important works in electronic / avant guard / space music I can only agree Artist - Tangerine Dream Title - Phaedra

I picked this record up at the record fair today Funny story about the song and record title made famous by this band Story is that the band was so stoned when recording this album that they could not pronounce the words In the garden of Eden - instead singing - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida This is the only release that has the full length version of - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida - to my understanding Artist - Iron Butterfly Title - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
