For sale is a Carver TFM-55x. This unit came from an estate sale of the ORIGINAL owner and is in LIKE NEW condition. Lights and meters work properly. Honestly not sure that I have seen a vintage (1992) piece in this good of shape. Only 200 of the TFM-55x models were produced. I am asking $750 which is on the high side however I have not seen other units in THIS good of shape. There was a unit that SOLD for $785 shipped on eBay and this unit is as good or better than that one. I will consider shipping for additional cost and would ensure that packaging is EXCELLENT to keep this beauty in great shape. LOCAL PICK-UP in the Milwaukee,WI area.

Morning Tim....good point. As I continue to listen to the RF-83's they really do sound nice. My thought was that for the price of the RF-83's that I could buy TWO PAIR of speakers. A pair of Heresy's for 2-channel listening and then finding a 2nd pair of something else for Home Theater. That may be flawed as the RF-83's probably do well in HT too, but have not tried them yet.

Looking for a nice used pair of Heresy II's. Cabinets should be in excellent shape with no damage. Prefer to have the risers, but will consider those without. Thanks for the additional feedback my basement acoustics are certainly less than desireable. I will try pulling the speakers further away from the wall. I actually hooked up my NAD 7400 receiver from the garage and bass has definitely improved with just that switch.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Understand about the bridging and impedance limits. Do you think bi-amping the RF-83's would be worthwhile? I am currently driving the RF-83's with an Integra receiver, but not happy with the base output.

Just bought a 2700THX off of A-gon and looking for a 2nd one so I can run them bridged with my RF-83's or potentially RF-7 II's in the near future. Prefer to have original box. Needs to be fully functional and in very good to excellent condition cosmetically.

I just recently purchased these locally and really like the sound however ultimately I have my eyes set on a pair of RF-7's or RF-7 II's so wanted to see if there was an interest in these. If not I will gladly keep them. Drivers are all in perfect shape as are the grilles. The are some minor scuffs on the sides and on the edges. I am sure these can be improved greatly with some polishing however I have not done that yet as didn't want to hide anything. I do not have the boxes and so these are for PICK-UP only in the Milwaukee,WI area. Asking $1400 for them, but will consider offers.
