  1. Purchased new in 1988; pair Klipsch forte'. Walnut finish. condition 9.5 out of 10. Picked up used the last couple of years -pair of Chorus in oak. -pair of HeresyII in black. Condition of both sets...prob 8. Now have time to refinish the Chorus and HeresyII pairs. Would like to get them to look like the Walnut fortes'. Edges on each pair-no issues. Couple of small nicks on top of Chorus's. Some scratches on HereseyII's. Not a wood worker or refinisher. I now have time to do these. Suggestions in detail appreciated. Thoughts? Historian, if this topic is NOT in the correct forum, please advise and/or correct. Regards and thanks.
  2. Good price IMHO.I had the same deal last summer. Paid $600 on a pair of Chorus I's and $100 for a pair of Hersey II's black lacq, The C's have a couple of small chips on the bases and very small blems on top. No rings. Love the Chorus-will be updating with Crites.
  3. My older 'kids' were playing my '87 fortes the other day when I was at work. Now only mid sound out of the right side. Took out the K 23 K and the cone's paper is pulled away from it's backing. Haven't pulled the tweeter yet. First time in the cabinet for me. I always took care of my fortes---this is a kick in the a** for me. Some of that summer time earnings money is coming back to Dad. Dang it...bought these out of the closet and was going to use in a 2.1 system. Anywhere to get one or two of these old speakers? Anything better? What to look for? $$$ thanks in advance-
