  1. Guess your talking about the dali phantom line? Checked online nice but expensive. I really want to get a pair of chorus II for front and run the chorus I's in rear, then use one or both of the kp-250's as center channel. The academy is great except voices are very directional and not a very disperision area. I was thinking of using the CT'S till I find a pair of chorus II, was wondering anyone had/has any experience with the CT's. Would they be a good replacement for the academy to over come the directional problem till i find some chorus II.
  2. Currently running chorus I mains, academy center channel, kp-250 rears. Was thinking about running 2 or 3 IC-6T's in wall for center speaker. Academy works fine but is very directional for voice's. Would IC-6T's be a good or bad idea? I can pick up used ones for 40 bucks a piece. Thanks.
  3. I picked up the speakers today a bit dusty but work fine, they are a kp-250 and a kp-250 II. Hooked them up for rear surround and they work great! They mix well with the chorus tonal and the bass is well matched. Very happy with them especially for 125.00. The weak links in my system is the center channel and lower bass. I'am running an academy for a center it's nice but sometimes the mid bass is stronger then the other speakers. Also sometimes center is directional and stands out from others. ( I think this because of the mid bass). For movies mostly the lower punch is not there, I have an sw 12 but it's not hooked up right now. I was getting some scratch ness from it so I disconnected it. When I did have it hooked up really didn't like it, would hit hard but was too boomy at times and could be a little directional. Overall I'am very happy with the system but I'am still going keep looking for a pair of chorus II's. I could run them as mains and the I's for rear surround, use one of the kp's for a center channel. I think one of the kp's would work better over academy being a three way speaker. Anyway the hunt continues but very happy with the kp's so far!
  4. Sounds good! Have to see if they both work tomorrow and go from there. Missed out on a pair of chorus II for 200.00 couple weeks ago, somebody good a deal on those! Would really like a pair of 2's to go with my chorus I's but these might foot the bill for now.
  5. Do you think the tonal quality would be different enough to not use as surround speakers? From my research that sounds right. If I do get them may be I can trade or get another to match one and use one as a center channel?
  6. Klipsch site has listing for kp 250 but not for the kp 250 II. Looks like one is a kp 250 but the other (maybe) kp 201 is not suppose to have the bass ports?
  7. Need help ID'ing these 2 speakers and wondering what the difference's are between them, thanks! http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/ele/4480124782.html
  8. Brakes went out on my old work truck so I had to spend my speaker money on them. ( Entire system replaced) There is a guy in Atlanta that has some heresy's for 250.00, if there still available this weekend I might buy them if they look good. If there sold I think I will hold out for a pair of heresy's or better at the right price. If you live in or near Jacksonville FL. you might want to keep an eye on these if your a diy guy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Klipsch-Cornwall-Speakers-As-Is-/371052160197?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item56646ea4c5
  9. Nothing like the two's, the bass is very tight. I want to put some 7inch port tubes in the vent holes, I've read where this will extend bass a few db's.
  10. Got me curious and I did some research and I think your right they look like kg3.5's. Have to wait to see if the CLS person still has the heresy's. http://www.klipsch.com/kg-4-5/details
  11. I e-mailed a CLS person about a pair of heresy's for 250.00 to see if there still available. Other listings are KM4's for 129.00 or kg4's for 250.00 firm. I'am thinking if the heresy's fall thur I might go for the km4's over the kg4's. Partly because of price and I'am thinking I can sell the km4's easier without taking a loss if I find a part of chorus II's down the road. Thoughts, thanks!
  12. I would love to get a pair of chorus II for front and use my I's for rear unfortunately but budget doesn't allow that right now. Budget right now is about 250.00 or less, I can always upgrade later if need to. There is a pair of heresy's for 250.00 on CLS if the guy still has them. Would the the heresy's be better than something in the ss line like the 1.1? I saw some on ebay for a little over a hundred. These would be solely for surround, I'am just want something better for now than the klipsch computer speakers I'am using for the rear.
  13. Of speakers you've mention which ones would be your first and 2nd choice? What about ss line? Thanks for the welcome!
  14. Looking for some klipsch speakers to use for rear surround with my chorus I. 5.1 system klipsch sw 12 sub. Thanks http://atlanta.craigslist.org/search/ela?zoomToPosting=&catAbb=ela&=ela&query=klipsch&minAsk=&maxAsk=&excats= Here is a recent CLS from my area, would those km4's work. Any thing catch your eye or should I wait for something else, thanks.
