i've never vaped, but have heard that it makes you cough hard. Have seen people vape pot and they often can't hold the smoke in long due to a cough.
are talking about a cough when you're NOT currently smoking?
Vaping pot is a completely different animal. I quit pot years ago, and all the other 'fun' stuff. Well almost. There was a beer sale last month. $7 bucks off a 15 pack.
So due the Covid and distancing stuff I got 15-15 packs.

Agree with you 1000% there. If you want to snuff cravings short term get Chantix, it does it with biochemistry.
Don't get anywhere nicotine in any form if you have been off for at least 3 days. Not patch, not vape, not dip/snuss, and for sure don't fool yourself into thinking (well if I just smoke a cigar that won't count).
Drinking, talking on phone, driving, after meals, coffee will be the big triggers. Work around those, Avoid alcohol first few weeks, buy a new car you don't want to smell, etc. If you alter the behavior ahead of time, like a 10 minute walk after every meal, it's easy to break those, and it's 100x easier if you are on Chantix for 3 to 6 months after quit date.
Travis
Disagree with you 1000%. Vape! Cheap and easy. Doesn't make you, your car or clothes stink. No more rattle cough.
No side effects like- never sleep again or thoughts of suicide (Chantix-"Wellbutrin")
50 yrs of tobacco habit completely beat by Vape 12 years ago. Good luck.

"The Third Reich at War" by Richard J. Evans. Over 1100 pages but I find it interesting.
Quote from page 144 by Adolph Hitler " I am convinced of the powers of my intellect and of decision...The fate of the Reich depends on me alone...I shall shrink from nothing and shall destroy everyone who is opposed to me."
Wow.

Don't know about the flu or colds but, baking soda has been used for what ails you. Talking about old school now. Can remember seeing on the box about heartburn. Folk used it for that all of the time. Bicarbonate of soda use. Imagine some got better results than others.
Use a spoonful of the soda with a mix of vinegar in the sink drain for
bubbly cleaning and odors.
ENO works for my occasional heartburn and tastes and acts like baking soda.

I have seen extremes in my life ... hottest I recall has been 115 and the coldest minus 27. (not on the same day).
I remember years ago when I was living in the High Desert of California, they said on the news that we had something like 100 CONSECUTIVE days of 90+ degrees.
I was living in Calgary in the late '60's when we had 40 consecutive days of -40 or colder.

This is a good time to use the original blade. 'Fine' blades, like 80+ teeth aren't the best with an alloy.
As far as precise goes, it's the saw setup not the blade. remove burrs with a file. Clean file with a
short piece of flattened 1/2 in. copper pipe.

I filled the "pool" today. sat in it for a few minutes.. Sarong is still damp .... and cool 4 hour later. The material is pretty heavy/thick. Evaporative cooling at its best. Need to make a shirt/coat/jacket from similar material. Be careful not to get chilled in this 100`+. You can.
didn't do anything exciting today. Loafed ...after I moved a stove and raked.... some more.
Wife went in for her "last day", this session. She's now on summer break. Still gets to go in once a week or so, as admin stuff needs.
Because we are a little slow here .... we got our got our girl scout cookies....finally. I bet the thin mints are a block of chocolate with cookie layers.
spot is buffering bad, again. turned the volume down so it wouldn't startle me when it does play. It's background noise. Can't "listen"...
My Gramp and Granny used to hang a couple of heavy canvas water bags, canteens?, off the car hood ornament on hot weather trips.
They would sweat, the bags, and it was amazing how cool the water tasted.

Working on reading all 25 of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels. My goal last year and this year is one book per week. Made it last year and I’m at 26 already this year, I should be able to make it again. I prefer paper books, but with all libraries closed here, I’ve been reading ebooks. Also a few Roman history thesis and audio musings. This internet thing might catch on.
If you haven't already, give John Sandford's "Prey" and "Virgil Flowers" series a shot.
