exactly.  I've come to the conclusion that we just can't isolate ourselves from the outside world.  Despite being cautious when I was grocery shopping yesterday, sanitized by hands, the cart, etc... I grab a bottle of vitamin water that I purchased and realize that the cashier handled EVERYTHING that I purchased, and she had touched everything that every customer ahead of me had handled. Are we supposed to rinse everything off when we get home -- would that even be effective?  there is a point where we just have to pray that whoever handled things before us was clear.

So, I get to the point where the cross my fingers method is the only thing left to do.

I really want a head of iceberg lettuce. Wash each leaf with - Purell - soap - vodka, or??

Think I'll just drink the vodka, wash my hands and watch Benny Hill.

    No doubt.

A Jack Reacher he's not. I've read the series and that movie made me love my books more than ever.

5 ft 7" compared to 6 ft 5".  Ha. Obviously not a TC fan.

  3. Zopiclone 7.5 mg. At my age I don't really care if it's addictive or bad for me.

Sleep like baby and wake up rested, alert and hungry. Now, where are my pooched eggs?

Lol,  Ditch those non stick coated pans and look for a nice Carbon Steel pan instead.  This will do everything that a non stick does, but without that carcinogen finish.

I love the very old cast iron I have, but I recently bought a used, well seasoned carbon steel Wok at a thrift store for $2.00. It is really as non stick as the video claims.

Impressed  and going to buy a one. Once properly seasoned, just wash with hot water.

  7. I have the opposite problem here in the cold part of NA. For about 4-5 months of the year I have to run a Humidifier. With out it my 900 sq. ft. apartment gets down to 30% (and less)

in the cold months cause the heat is constantly on to some degree. I usually add about 1-2 gallons of water to it daily to keep my humidity at 40-45%.

Anything more or less is uncomfortable.

  8. The Boy Scout's motto is something that's common knowledge for us old farts, in the north.

Even on the warmest day's, even in the Okanagan  we would never go out on a boat without gear.

Biggest 'ship' I was ever on was 'The Maid of the Mist' when I was 3 yrs old. Everyone was wearing those ugly yellow slickers and I lost my Mom and Dad.

    Scared me forever. Ha

Yes I noticed MO. I have lived my entire life down south. I don't know how people live and work in those extreme lows, but they do. Like Canada and northern US. My career was in oil refinery operations and when I retired our Ops Manager asked me if I was interested in working part time @ our Detroit refinery. I asked him if he was f**kin nuts! He is from MI originally. I heard enough stories and experiences from my fellow supervisors who went north for strike duty, or extended turnarounds. They came back with oversized, HD insulated coveralls and head and face coverings, boots, and gloves. Talk of catching a couple of samples in the AM before dawn and having to go back and warm up for the next couple.

Not for me, no thanks. Christmas Eve 1989 we lost the entire refinery (Garyville, LA) due to low atmos temps in the wee hours and had a few fires (but nobody was injured). When I walked out from the control room @ 0600 it was earily quiet. Got to 16F that morning. We fought hard but lost that morning. Down for 3 or 4 days, probably cost our employer 3 to 5 million dollars. Can't imagine doing it @  zero degrees F or lower.

Back in late 60's-early 70's I was working for a company in the oil field industry  (National Tank) in Calgary, Alberta. 'They' (oil companies from Tulsa to Texas), sent truckers to pick up

oil field equipment in Calgary in winter, sometimes in the worst of weather. Quite a few times the drivers and their trucks showed up frozen! No antifreeze or heaters in their tractors, wearing shorts,T shirts, flip flops etc. Many begged a ride to the airport and abandoned their rigs. We laughed our asses off.

So what is a "bubble"? 6 cyl no doubt. Was that a hand wash in the cold? $215 is mostly prob 65% labor. My 2012 camaro plugs are good for 96k miles, still in there - platinum tips, like $7 each @ amazon. I'll be replacing em myself when its time (very easy to access, hemi head, dohc). Fixing to do the auto tranny fluid and filter in a couple weeks myself. 67k mileage.

You may know,  but much/most of your old ATF stays in the torque converter if you only drain the pan. Many aftermarket converters have a drain plug but not so much for original Chevy's and others, Fwiw. Enjoy.

    Bowtie fan.
