How alarming and sad to think of those unable to escape such dangerous heat.

    Ever use a plasma cutter?

Lytton, that town in south-central British Columbia, set a new all-time across Canada high temperature record, for the third day in a row.  Yesterday’s temp was 49C, or 122F.  This is beyond extreme for us.  The police reported that 75 people in southern BC died suddenly yesterday, for heat-related reasons.  Most of them lived alone and were elderly or had respiratory problems of some sort.  The other common factor was that their rooms were at 40C/104F or higher when the police arrived.

As of today Lytton is gone.  90% burnt to a crisp.

  3. I don't remember ever having my eyes examined. Did that yesterday and shocked the Optometrist.

She said if I don't get glasses NOW I could loose my driving privileges.

Does anyone know how good or bad this prescription is?

    Sorry about the sideways view.

I was at a friend's house and this guy was there and he was a bit of an odd fellow. he said that he hated his fender mustang so much that he felt like speeding down the road and throwing it out the window. my friend said, "I'll give you $50 for it" and the guy sold it on the spot.   I like Fender Mustangs, and Jaguars.

After a hard and hot day of work about 30 years ago I met my friend and my brother at the golf course. They were gulping down their cold beers and said 'lets go'

as soon as I walked in and they decided carts were unnecessary. I ordered a cold one and offered up every piece of golfing equipment I ever owned to the first $100. dollar bill.

It was gone in seconds. Had another cold one and went home. I bought another nice fishing rod and have never been to another golf course since then.
