  1. Hey man, I'm having some of the same problems. I am really not impressed with these speakers for music. HT sounds great but music, especially rock, sounds like sh*&. I've run my 8.5's since Sunday and they are still producing questionable quality. After listening in the same room with the volume set to a moderate level I end up with a headache. I am really trying to love these speakers, especially at $300 but I think I will return them this weekend. ps...I've worked with speaker placement, sub adjustment, and receiver adjustment and they just are not impressing me.
  2. Thanks Audio Flynn, DVD: Sony DVP-S350 CD: Sony CDP-cx450 TV: Sony Directv w/TiVo Man, I didn't even realize that I am a complete Sony groupie! Oh well, one question, I'm having some sound quality issues with my new 8.5's. When using the speakers+subwoofer for music the bass (from the 8.5's)is overwhelming. Do I want to set the 8.5's to "small" for HT and music? I did try the small setting and everything just got quieter but was still muffled(sp?). I did move them about 5-6 inches from the wall and it sounds much better. Any other suggestions for acoustic adjustment? I'm pretty limited in placement of the speakers at this time.
  3. Hi all. Glad I found this forum! Here's my story. Just bought a pair of KSF 8.5's for fronts and a SC1B center to go with: Sony XBR450 tv Sony STRDE 845 receiver Sony SAW M40 sub Sony surrounds I will upgrade the surrounds in the next month or so but I wanted to get some opinions on my Klipsch purchase. They sound good so far but not great. Is there a break-in period for these speakers? My listening habit is 60% HT and 40% music. Thanks for any and all response!
