They said "Yes there are two seperate speakers. A left and a right...each should have a sub facing out." I too just received my Rp5 bfrom Ubid. They got it right. Both Subs facing out, marked on box A & B. Good luck gettin a replacement john

Any one ever listened to these side by side? Or opinions of the Infinity 15 inch,1000w beast? I seen these go on ubid for ~$400. Do you think the Infinity is a bargain, or should I just get a SVS? Thanks John

Thanks All Well I got tired of all this hareware comparing and went ahead and got a parasound 2500u off ubid for $1000 last night. The cheapest price I saw online was $1500 for a used 2500u from an individual. So I thought this refurb. unit was a bargain. I"ll post here with the goods when it arrives. ubid.com I saw the Sony going for ~$550-650 and the HK for ~$350. Also saw a adcom 7300 go for $400. When do you think that the next gen. pre-amps 7.1 will be out? I think I heard Sony will be out this summer. (not sure) Since I have been researching I keep finding other hardware. It's getting more complicated. Not less. These 2 preamps are discounted bigtime right now. But both seem to have their problems. However the price is right for me to jump into seperates. Does anyone have any experience with these? Or should I pass? And save up for the Parasound 2500u. or something else? Parsound 855a 5 channel Sony de945 Klipsh rf3,rc3,k3.5 for surround, SVS sub 60% film, 40% music. 24' x 28' room. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks John

Ok, here are my picks. 24 x 28 x 8ft room. Sony de-945 a/v receiver, sony d560 DVD. (existing) Mains: RF-3 (on order) RC-3 center (existing) Surrounds: KG 3.5's (existing)using now as mains. Subwoofer SVS 16-46cs plus(on order) Parasound HCA 855 amp 125W at 4 ohms (to replace Sony de-945 A/V) Looking for a pre-amp? Looking at a Parasound HCA 2200II to drive those subs? Did I do okay?
