  1. Thanks Ceptorman, it's the first time I have ever seen a pair in person, l know I should get out more, lol. It's a great looking speaker. Rhetor, that's cool, we should see how many fellow members are here,
  2. Still haven't pulled the trigger on a center yet, but I do see your point. If I can find a very good deal on a 64 I'll probably go with. The 82's were delivered today and what a nice surprise, those speakers look sharp! So the surprise was this, I got a very good deal/ price on them but in the ad they were the cherry wood grain as pictured. But, I really wanted the black ones, low and behold, the actual delivered speakers, nib, are black. My plan was to use them until I found another good deal on the actual color I wanted. So, it's a good day.
  3. Got them order today, thanks for your guidance, both Scrappydue and Metro!
  4. Thank you for the offer but I'm going with the SI's and hopefully in the near future add 2 more. I'll post some build pics.
  5. Ok, just to narrow it down: (2) Stereo Integrity Drivers - HT18 18″ SUBWOOFERs (Sealed Boxes). Might use the pre-built boxes from PE. Would the iNuke 6000dsp be too much for these speakers? If so, should I use the 3000dsp? I assume that I would also need to order the proper dvc ohmage(if such a word exist) depending on amplifier choice... Thanks.
  6. Your talking a bit above my pay scale technically, lol. So, which one would you pick? I'm learning towards the SI HT18 Edit: I will probably have to go with a sealed box type due to the fact that the overall size of the enclosure will be the determining factor just to get into the hatch opening.
  7. These are the (2) 18" subwoofer packages that I'm interested in: http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-18-ultimax-subwoofer-and-cabinet-package--300-7099 and http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-18-reference-series-ho-subwoofer-and-cabinet-package--300-7094 My plan is to use (2) 18" subs inside the av/ network room. Is either better/ preferred than the other?
  8. This might be a strange question/ concern: The room above the AV/ Network area is the MBR shower, which is made primarily of glass walls 3/8" thick and door. Do you think this much bass might cause an issue/ damage? Check this out: http://www.amazon.com/Dayton-Reference-Subwoofer-Cabinet-Package/dp/B00D8GOK86/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_45?ie=UTF8&refRID=1M1X5WFQ718FN8KC5C9A Also, saw this http://www.amazon.com/Dayton-Ultimax-Subwoofer-Cabinet-Package/dp/B00D8GPFGM/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1CM257TAYGQ9BK5D21D5#customerReviews , is this box a decently built unit?
  9. Sealed enclosures due to size constraints as I will still need to physically access this area. How about some recomendations on the 18" subwoofers types?
  10. I'm now kicking myself for not putting a power outlet on the column near the couch, I did all the electrical and communictions, speaker wiring, etc. Just didn't think of it all!
  11. Ok, please see the revised layout for possible positions for the (2) Sunfire 12's. Ported or Sealed??? Not sure how to make that choice.
  12. Hi Scrappydue, Well, now I ask for direction on adding some additional subwoofers. I know that you have mentioned that the (2) Sunfire HRS-12's probably won't fill that large space properly. So, with that being said I would like your opinion/ direction. I do plan on using the Sunfires, I can't return them as I have been using them in my main level family den. I have attached a mock-up of implementing (2) 15" subwoofer enclosures in the "hidden" AV/ Network room. I'm considering building the enclosures and using a amp similiar to a BEHRINGER iNUKE NU6000DSP or compatiable unit. I have pretty good woodworking skills and tools. If others would also please give me your input that would great. Thanks.
  13. Hey I can write some html5 and css, I'll take one please! Lol.
  14. Thanks Youthman, I have reached out to the seller, local only, won't ship.
  15. Thanks for the direction. After that, off to 15" subwoofers journey!
  16. Ok, in search for a very solid deal on a RC-62ii, thanks. Then 2 pairs of RB-61ii's for the side and rear surrounds.
  17. I'm my own worst enemy. I know Scrappydue suggested that I go with a RC-62II, but for some dang reason I want the RC-64II or the new RP-450C. Someone please bring me to my senses! I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong, but speaking specifically about the centers themselves, I'm pretty sure Scrappy doesn't like it based on the bang for the buck, not that it is bad. He doesn't think the 64 is worth the price, while the 62 is. Really has nothing to do with which center is better in general. The RC-64 looks really nice and performs really well on concert movies. If you're getting this style anyway, you can't go wrong with it if you don't mind shelling out the bucks. HOWEVER, as for the RC-64ii, if you already bought some RF-82ii's, getting an RC-64ii doesn't make much sense to me. Should have went with RF-7ii's, that's the direction you wanted to go, the tweeters and finish match. The tweeters nor the finish will match on the 82 / 64 combo. I would not recommend mixing and matching like this. Personally I would have waited a few more weeks and got the new reference stuff unless you got a sick deal. The new stuff ships out the end of this month. Just slow down a little and soak it all in, no reason to rush. If you're drooling over the RP-450C, I'd beg that dealer not to ship and apply some credit towards the new reference premiere if he is feeling like a nice guy. But that's just me. Otherwise just stick with the RC-62ii because you want everything to match as much as possible. Your absolutely right! I'm caught up in the hype of it all and new to the game, I need to slow down. I did get a smokin deal on the 82ii's under 700 shipped, new.

  19. A pair of RF-82 II just purchased and awaiting shipment!
  20. Yes, I can't wait. I will post more pics when near completion. I know this forum is about speakers and such but you should see the shower! LOL! Go to go, see y'all tomm.
  21. Thank you. It is so close to being finished. We have been wating on the custom cabinets for 5 weeks now and that has been the stall in this project. Once the cabinets are in, then the trim and tile can be fiinished, then granite countertops, then paint, plumbing fixtures, then electrical components. It's been a fun project and can't wait to set-up the audio/ video room, that's what keeps me going!
  22. Just if you were interested in the progress of the room I have attached a couple photos from today construction. Thanks.
  23. So, basically what Scrappydue recommends and of course based on my budgetary means: Mains: RF-82 II Center: RC-62 II Side Surrounds: RB-61 II (at ear height) Rear Surrounds: RB-61 II (at ear height) I'll get more/larger subs once I get this plan underway. Does this sound like a much better package/ plan than what I currently have? Also, how do I insert a picture into these "reply" post? I want to show an actual picture of the rooms.
