  1. It's noticeably faster now. It's still not fast, but it's almost fast enough.
  2. The following Activity Streams take an extremely long time to load: Content I Started Content I Posted In The others are fast enough, but they don't load instantly. The only one that loads instantly for me is Members I Follow because I'm not following anyone.
  3. Yeah, I don't appreciate the threads being locked without an explanation.
  4. With a browser extension? Interesting. Can you help me find one? Also, while I have your attention, is there a keyboard shortcut for submitting a post or a PM?
  5. I think you'll grow to love this. Besides, I'm sure @Chad can explain why this upgrade was performed. I would bet that it's kind of similar to getting a newer operating system: sometimes you have to.
  6. Yeah, it's pretty neat. It reminds me of Outlook, but better. Well, the notification is prettier looking. lol Clicking it though just brings me to this tab. Still, I love it. I can be doing other things in other tabs and then when someone posts a reply to a thread I'm watching or sends me a PM, boom I get a perfectly-sized notification on the lower-right corner of my monitor, right above my clock. It's great! The more and more I use this platform, the more and more I love it. Also, now that the indexing has reached a stage where most of the site is up to full speed, I'm loving it even more!
  7. At the top we have 'Browse', 'Activity', 'History' and 'Klipsch.com'. I keep clicking them even though I know all we have to do is hover over them because they don't change instantly; they don't have a 0ms hover delay. If they did, then I would never click them. Can you change the hover delay on these to 0ms? Or better yet, do you think I could do it with the Stylish or Greasemonkey extension? I recognize that a 0ms hover delay could be super annoying for some people. I would need to be shown the code that I would need to have in my script though. :/
  8. Edit: Oh wait, they're just "Push Notifications". I think I've heard that term before. When I'm in a different tab and I receive new content on here that I'm watching, Firefox puts up a very nice notification that comes up from the Notification Area down by the clock to tell me. If I click it, then it switches me to this tab and then I can go look at it. I also get to see an indicator right on the tab title itself. If I'm already looking at this tab, then the only notification I see is the red circle up on the bell icon which is still nice since it comes up automatically without a page reload. I didn't really know or care about this Web Push thing until now, so I don't know if it's available for other browsers.
  9. On the main page just as we had before, we have the last 10 posts. It's just on the right-hand side now instead of at the top. You can do a LOT in the 'Activity' tab at the top (you just hover over these tabs and then click the content on them). I think this is one of the things you want: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/discover/unread/
  10. I propose that we all wait exactly 14 days before we make any decisions about what we think of this platform. Really use it. Put it to the test. Go through every last nook and cranny. Really spend time getting to know it. Have you ever upgraded to a new operating system that was extremely different from the previous that you hated at first but then you grew to totally love it?
  11. If you want to see the recent activity, then look at the right-hand side of the page: https://community.klipsch.com/ 10 recent posts, just like we used to have, but in a slightly different location. So, I honestly don't understand what the problem is.
  12. The option to give a reason for editing is there in case you really want others to know why you edited your post. It's not a required field. Even better is, we get to choose whether others can see that we even edited the message. "Show that the message has been edited". Now that's pretty nice if you ask me. Overall, I just don't want any of our best community members to leave! You guys are why many of us are here. You guys are why this community is the best. If you leave, then we will sorely miss you. I think that in the end, you will end up loving this platform. You will see why it was chosen, and you will see why it is the way it is. I think that once it's done indexing, it will feel and perform better than the old platform.
  13. The speed isn't something they need to work on. It's just indexing right now. Again, read here: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/announcement/5-forum-site-performance/ I found this at the top of the page. You guys are judging this too harshly way too soon. Give it some time. You haven't even spent one day with this platform yet. Give it a few weeks. You would give anything ELSE a few weeks before you could form a solid opinion, right? Do you really think it's a good idea to quit coming here after spending barely even one day with this new platform? You guys make this community as good as it is. Don't leave just because they changed platforms. Besides, I honestly believe with all my heart that you will come to love this platform.
  14. Give it a chance. Also, they have already explained that we will have performance problems until the indexing is done: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/announcement/5-forum-site-performance/ Edit: Look at the right side of the page: https://community.klipsch.com/ I think you guys are being way too quick to judge this platform. Give it some time. Don't leave this community just because the platform is different. You guys make this community as good as it is.
  15. Well, I guess you can't please everyone. Everything about this new platform is far better for me. I don't see ANY problems with it. Point them out and I'll consider them.
  16. What's wrong with it? Is it slow? If that's the problem, then click the link below: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/announcement/5-forum-site-performance/
  17. Yeah, but that's extremely old-school. I don't know of anyone who really does that these days, except for someone who's writing a book. It's just not common enough I guess. I haven't indented a paragraph since the 90s.
  18. And the Web Push thing is just fantastic. This is the first time I've ever seen it in action! I love it!
  19. Check this out: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/announcement/5-forum-site-performance/
  20. On this platform, it's how many times someone has clicked "Like this" on your posts. So, if I were to "like" one of your posts, then you'd get another reputation point.
  21. I love it! What more can I say? It's fantastic! Thank you for this huge upgrade.
