I had an A/B listening session with the C2 and the Original LS. In my opinion the LS are better. They sound cleaner and warmer and bigger, and I love my C2's which I will be hanging onto. Both speakers are stock and they both kick butt.

I already have 1 pair of Heresys. These speakers multiply quickly.

Yes, CR-2020. I have nothing to compare these speakers to, but the combo sounds really good to me.

Mixed reviewers, how true. These are stock, I am sure I will look at a possible ugrade on the crossovers at some point. But I am in no hurray the way these things sound.

Yes. Birch lacquer with cane grills. Very pleased with how they look.

I would definitely like to try some La Scalas at some point, but I am satisfied for the moment.

I am really getting used to the looks of these big blondes. I was pleasantly surprised by the shape they are in cosmetically. I am currently listening to "She" by Harry Connick Jr on the dvd player that is hidden in the cabinet. It sounds awesome. Cheers.

Right now I have a yamaha CR-2020, but I am thinking about buying a tube amp real soon.

I will, I have some Heresy's now which I like. But I am after a little more. I would also like to try Fortes, but I think these are no brainers.

Buying a pair of these tomorrow, pics to follow. I ordered a Crites crossover repair kit and tweeter diaphragms today as a preemptive move. When I was younger I spent a few summers working at a salmon cannery in Alaska. After my first summer there, I bought a pair of the original Chorus I's and dragged them to college with me. I sold them years later when I joined the Navy. I miss those speakers and I am looking forward to getting the CII's.
