I just bought the klipsch hd theater SB 3 and after hooking it up I'm noticing a slight cracking/popping when watching tv. Is there a reason this is happening? Is there a way to fix this? If I convert the connection to my tv over to hdmi vs optical will this help?

I am thinking about buying a converter to convert my sound bar over to hdmi to my television using the hdmi arc input. Has anyone done this before? Will I notice any differences in sound quality?
