  1. A perfect pair recently tested in my Belle Klipsch. I cannot get myself to replace the K-77M. Guess I like the shrill sound too much. Anyway, I will let them go for $150.00 with UPS or FedEx Ground included. These have the Z bracket for flush mount. Send me a pm if you are interested.
  2. Received my new CT125 tweeters from Bob Crites yesterday, insalled them last night and initially they sound very good. These went into a pair of Belle Klipsch and replaced my K-77M's. I am impressed with the clarity, they do not sound as tinny as the K-77M. I have noticed that cymbals sound much more realistic with the CT125's. I am going to continue to test them and compare them with the K-77M, but I think there is little chance that the original tweeters will see their way back into my Belles. Once I know that I am completely convinced, I will be ordering a pair for my LaScalas. You know how it is you listen one day and the next day you think everything sounds different. Like I said I am really impressed with the way they sound.
  3. Just curious if anyone can tell me the crossover frequencies of the AB-2 network for the Belle Klipsch and the AL-3 network for the LaScala?
  4. I noticed that the new LaScala II is actually 1db more sensitive than the original yet I was told that the new drivers are actually 1 to 2db less than the old ones. So, how can that be? Does anyone know if the original specs of 104db 1w/1m were anechoic and the new ones I will bet have room gain added to the tune of 4-6 db. Just curious. If anyone is interested I have attached the frequency response curves of the some of the original heritage loudspeakers.
  5. I have some uneven color blotches on my chorus II side panels and I was wondering what I can do to even it out. Mine are Oiled Oak. I just bought these and it looks like the blotches might be a result of the side being exposed to sunlight through blinds or curtains. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. I have a pair of of these in medium oak finish and they are in absolutely mint condition with original packing and boxes. I am in the Mpls St Paul, MN. area and a local deal would work best, but I can ship at buyer's expense. Asking $900.00. Pictures are available.
  7. Is there anyone in the Mpls-St.Paul, MN. area who is looking to sell either Chorus II's or Cornwall II's? They need to be in mint condition with no mods. Thanks very much.
  8. http://www.sundial.net/~rogerr/wire.htmFor speaker wires, this is a good explanation.
  9. I still have a pair of CF4's in mint condition medium oak finish with original boxes, packing, etc. If interested, make me an offer plus buyer pays shipping.
  10. I wasn't going to be beaten that easily. I brought the thing back in the house and started all over again. I think I have resolved the issue with the interface between the CJ and the Rel. It probably isn't either just the room. I had to roll off the Rel with a setting of B-3 which corresponds to about 36hz. I had some awful peaks but this setting seems to have smoothed it out and I reduced the volume level on the sub by about 1 notch which is about 3db. I like it a lot better now. At a distance of about 10 feet from the speakers, I have gained a boost of about 4db at 50hz, 7db at 40 and 7db at 31.5hz. I don't know why I am picking up a boost at 50hz with my cutoff set at a low 36hz. In any event, the over-all effect is subtle. It's just enough to make a difference, the sub does not call attention to itself. No big boomy bass. Thanks to all of you for your comments. 11. So, I bought the Rel Storm III to mate with my LaScalas and a McIntosh MA6500 integrated amp. They sound absolutely perfect. Went back to the store and bought another to team with my Belles and a Conrad Johnson Premier 11A tube amp. Not at all happy with the outcome. Tried all kinds of different settings for several hours and just couldnt get it to integrate well. Right now it is in the back seat of my car to take back to the store. Any thoughts? I really hate to let it go, but what can you do if it doesnt do the job.
  12. I have a pair of these in mint condition in medium oak with boxes and packing available for sale if anyone is interested. I have Belles, LaScalas and Heresy's and no more room for these. Email if interested.
  13. Well, I took Ray Garrison's advice and have a REL Storm III at home on demo. So far, I am pretty impressed by it and it seems to blend in rather easily with the LaScalas. There is a lot of low end in most of the music that I was missing totally. By the way, I realize rooms will vary, but Ray could you tell me where you have all of your settings on your REL. Thanks Much
  14. I want to thank all of you for your helpful response to my question about subs. Although I know it is fairly new, I wonder if anyone believes that the new Reference subwoofer from Klipsch would make a good mate with the Heritage line of loudspeakers. In particular the LaScala or Belle. Any thoughts would be appreciated? Thanks again.
  15. I have both LaScalas and Belles and while I am very satisfied with their over-all sound I am wondering what they would sound like with the addition of a powered subwoofer. If I was to add one what would be a good one and would any of them integrate well with the horn loaded bass of these speakers? What about the Sunfire True Signature Subwoofer?
