Ive always had the sub on auto detect ut it doesnt always kick in at lower volumes, is it safe for me to just permently leave my sub on? Thanks in advance.

I am upgrading to a 7:1 and have the reference series for my center and fronts, 12" sub and the synergy SS1's for my side speakers. I was originally going to put another pair of SS1's for the rear but someone said those are best on sides. Then I was thinking of hanging a couple of Quintent's from the ceiling as my 2 rear speakers. Any advice on the proper speaker that will complement my setup?? Thanks in advance

Hello I have a 5:1 setup at the moment where the rear speakers are on the sides of the walls. I want to get to a 7:1 but my problem is this, I have no rear wall for my family room connects right into the kitchen. Im wondering if it is possible to mount speakers from the ceiling? Will this sound good and if so what speakers would anyone recommmend for me to look into? I currently have the reference series for a setup with a 12"sub. Thanks in advance.
