[Klipsch forte ii with carver tfm-45]

Well i ran into a little problem with the ct-17, developed a humm.. Did some research online and tracked it to the power supply of the preamp. I guess the caps were getting old. thank god i know how to work on electronics. Had almost all the caps here.. Most I had were over rated, but seem to work fine, Still need to replace one. As the one i replaced it with was a cheap junky off brand  chinese cap LOL 90% of my humm is gone. Thanks for all the info guys. This is turning out to be fun Here is  the caps i had too pull outta the carver power supply.. If anyone is curious.. Some of the caps i put in were used, might just order all new.. Still rockin !!!! Oh yea Lots of nasty glue too that stuff sucks!!!

Ok got my turntable out this is just sweet !!! My records come too life!!!!! Bought this turntable a few years back for the usb conversion..  I see why these speakers are popular Def leapard sounds like its live !!!!

I did i felt guilty and give him 100 bucks, and case of beer Said he was happy i could use them Hes like that a perfectionist keeps everything pristine...

Yea i do know the value now.. He told me he wanted that junk outta his basement They were still in the original boxes packed away.. said he needed to downsize years ago and would never use them again. I'm HAPPY . Sound way better than the denon and klh speakers i had in there before..

I dont take much your right!!! I hooked up a 60 disk changer to it i got at goodwill for 4 bucks and wow!!! Put some TOOL on and Wow.. This thing shakes the 13x16 room its in I am kinda nervous about pushing that carver to 375 watts with these speakers though

Yea he is a cool guy. I didnt really even know what i was getting until i looked around... I thought it was just old stereo stuff.. I like the way this setup sounds.

This guy i know was cleaning out his basement and gave me a pair of forte ii  , carver tfm-45, carver ct-17, realto eq, Center and rear channel amp carver . and the center and rear klipsch speakers.. Is that Carver Tfm-45 a good amp to drive those fortes. It seems like it can overpower them too easily ???
