  1. Any thoughts on using Heresy III as fronts in HT with RC3 and RS3 as center and surround? I will use for 40% music listening. I have RB5-II and they are not cutting it for listenting to music. Will the Heresy match my RC3 or will it be a huge difference? whats a good price for the Heresy also?
  2. I currently have RB5 II fronts RC3 II center RS 3II surround and RSW 12. I want to upgrade my fronts specifically for 2 channel. i am powering them with a Denon 4306. The room is my basement that is 30' x 20'. the main seating is 15' from the plasma. I was thinking RB81 or RB75 for the upgrade. I went to my local dealer who happens to have a pair of RF 82s. One has very slight cosmetic damage to the top which i can certainly live with. i have demoed in the shop and they do sound phenomenal to me. 40% off retail is the offer. Any thoughts on if i will match the timbre? am i going too big with these? Will they be too big for Home theatre? Is 6 inches offset from the wall enough for the rear ports? any opinions appreciated. I will get full warranty from Klipsch according to dealer.
  3. I have two questions. I currently have a pair of RB 5 II as my fronts on pedastals. I also now have very active 2 year old twins. Therein lies my problem. The 5's cannot be wall mounted and the 35's can. If I make the switch will i still be matched up with my RC 5 II, RS 5 II, and RSW 12? Or should i be thinking of a different speaker for my fronts? Anyone have a set of RB 35s to trade? My second issue is more of a recomendation. I need a new HT receiver. Right now I am running a Pioneer that is way way way too bright. I dont have HD TV yet but that is coming soon so i want to be ready. Is HDMI the way to go? I would like to stay in the 800-1000 dollar range. Harmon Kardon, Denon, Onkyo? Thanks for the help
  4. RB 35's are front ported, so mounting them should not be an issue. I want to keep the speakers matched so I am guessing the RB35 will match up well with the rest of my reference. Reccomendations on receivers in the $500 range?
  5. I have 2 questions. 1. I have 16 month old twins so I need to replace my RB 5II fronts with a front firing speaker, so they can be wall mounted. Would that be the RB 35? If I do wall mount them can they behind the Center channel or do they have to be at the same depth as the center? 2. The RB5's are VERY VERY bright, especially when listening in 2 channel. It is ok for HT but 2 channel is tough to listen to. I have Reference all around with a KSW 12 sub. However I am powering them with a low end Pioneer 5.1 receiver. Could the receiver be producing the Brightness? Any guidance appreciated
  6. I like to do all my business with sound city and they still dont have them. I don't like to deal with 6th Ave and the Wiz. Bad experiences in the past. J&R is not local to me. Are there any authorized Web Dealers? I currently have the SC-1 with RB-5II. It seems to me the rb's are overpowering the SC-1.
  7. It seems that no dealers in the North Jersey has the new RC in stock. Does anyone at Klipsch have an idea when they will ship, or if you know of any dealers that have them now?
  8. I have an sc-1 center and I am picking up a pair of rb-5 II today. Should I upgrade to the RC-1 as well or will the SC-1 match the Rb's
  9. I just picked up a pair of SP-1's. I am using them for HT and Music. They are matched with an sc-1 and a KSW 12. Hopefully they will have somme SS-1's soon also. I have to set up my HT in the corner of a 25'x17' room. Because of this I don't have enough spacing from the sp's to the walls or between each other. Since I have the KSW already, I was debating on switching over to a pair of RB-5's. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Also where should my fronts be placed? As close to the tv as possible? Same height as the center? Any help would be appreciated. This message has been edited by mike52 on 01-20-2002 at 05:28 PM
