  1. Thanks again!

I have them up and running with spare parts from a La Scala project and new Crites tweeters.

The plan is to do a re-veneer. The water stains will not sand out but the veneer is intact so I will most like veneer OVER veneer.

Hey sounds like you're having fun - sorry about those water stains I bought them like that and never got them up and running - so enjoy !

  2. Can't you post the pictures here? You might have to resize them, find the pic, click on it, click resize and make it 25%. You should be able to post most of the picture in 2 posts this way, rather than answering 20 requests individually. I guess I should ask, will you ship these?

  4. I think someone was trying to eliminate "cage ringing" with the terry cloth. Not sure.

Put a meter on everything and all the speakers are good.

A friend came over yesterday and did his best to sway me towards a stock rebuild. Being that the dog house is intact but apart on the one, I would love to veneer it but that leaves the other being a little more difficult to veneer. Especially if I want everything visible done.

So... I need to make a decision on the woofer and do a full rebuild on the crossovers and during that time I will mull over what direction to go with the cabinets. I've veneered before so I'm confident enough to choose something a little more exotic. I'll get the wife's opinion on that.

I used to be a Military Club DJ and used the La Scalas and McIntosh 1200 for over 30 years - what a sound - everyone loved it - I retired about 15 yrs ago and sold my La Scalas and miss them - maybe when you finish I can get a pair from you later on down the road - after we do this deal - cause I have a sensitive ear now :)

  5. This thread will be pinned till after the Pilgrimage in April.  The Monday after the gathering it will be unpinned.  The purpose of this thread will be for people to list items for sale that they will be bringing with them.  Hope will be our shipping and receiving hub where items can be brought, bought and then carried to various parts of the US by members making the trip.  All of the Garage sale rules apply especially the part where Klipsch has nothing to do with these transactions.  Post what you'll be bringing.  This is a great opportunity to purchase items, save on shipping and shipping damages.

Where will this be? Date and time?

  6. That's still out of my range, shipping is going to be at least $150, new tweeters are $175 if I'm lucky and maybe I can find a woofer for $75. That puts me at 1150 and then I have the additional cost of refinishing them

    TY anyway

  8. So you're asking $1200 for a pair of CWs that need tweeters and a woofer? Can you post some pics of the drivers please? (that means you need to take the backs off)

And also pics of the tops? I don't know if it's the lighting reflections or the finish needs a little touching up

  10. Welcome and congrats on at least one fine pair of Klipsch speakers! I was at one time fascinated by the KP-450 and really wanted a pair for myself. I searched for a few years and only found maybe 2 pairs for sale in that time and neither were pair were within 1500 miles of me so I eventually gave up. There are lots of large after market horns available though, I'm sure someone will chime in and help you out, good luck!

Check Crites he has all parts[emoji1417]

  11. I'm in Montgomery and would love a pair of Cornwalls. Pictures and price?

Asking $1200 for the pair - as is - they need twitters and the cabinets just need touch up with minor sanding and restrain and lacquer - they are solid maple wood. We can do this and get repairs done with Klipsch parts!
