  1. I bought a pair of RF7s and RC64 and then followed that up with a SVS PC2000 and I grin ear to ear every time I turn my system on. There was a little break in period in the towers as the base wasn't very present but they get better every day. I listen to a lot of metal and watch a ton of movies and this set up has to be heard to be believed. The SVS sub was the icing on the cake. If you can find a good deal on these speakers, snag em and don't look back.

  2. Just got a set of brand new RF7s and the RC64 with a Yamaha reciecer. I'm not quite satisfied with the sound yet, however. The bass isn't quite what I was hoping for.. Any recommendations on how to get more out these speakers? Do I need an amp? My receiver only has a Treble/Bass +/-6db and its not pushing out what I want. Thx yall!!

  3. Just a note.. I got my Yamaha Aventage receiver in and i have very mixed feelings about it. It sounds ok. The YPAO setup was easy. But it lacks very basic tone control(only treble/bass). I guess I was expecting more from a thousand dollar purchase. It drives the Rf7s and RC64 just fine so there's no complaints about the power.

  4. I'm just afraid the whole of my set up will draw too much juice from the receiver to truly power the towers. I've heard the RF7s come alive when you put the power to them.

  5. Your receiver does have the ability to add an external amp.  To hook up a 2ch amp to your current receiver, all you would need is an RCA Cable (Red and White Cable).  Connect the RCA cable to the "Front Pre-out" connections on your receiver, then connect the speaker outs to your speakers.  I sketched up a diagram using your receiver and my 2ch amp.

Another Acurus guy here also.  I have no hesitation to recommend an Acurus A200X3/A200.

    Also B&K Reference 200.2/200.3, Anthem MCA-2/MCA-20 or MCA-3/MCA-30, Parasound .

  7. Hey yall! Any good 2 or 3 channel amps in the $300-$500 range I can get to drive my RF7s? I'm not sure how that works having it run in addition to the receiver either but I would like to find out. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.

  8. I'm waiting on a Yamaha Adventage to show up in the mail any day now. Its got YPAO or something like that that's akin to the Audessy suite. Its supposed to power a pair of RF7s and an RC64 center channel.. If its a success id be glad to let you know if the Yamaha is a viable option to the Marantz.

  9. Well this moment mine are giant, and I mean giant, paper weights. I have to wait another two weeks to buy a decent receiver. Ive been told that the RF7s are extremely efficient speakers and don't need a lot of power to run them.. Ive also been told that they welcome power and will scale accordingly...mwhaha

  10. It's a start.. I really wanted some KEF R700s but I got such a good deal on these and id just heard a Klipsch demo on a set of these. I'm gonna throw a pair of SVS subs in there when I get the surrounds and call it a day. :)

  11. Just bought some brand new RF7s and a RC64 center to match. I'm gonna get the reference premiere surrounds as soon as the budget allows... But as for these speakers, they're riduclous. Just the right kind of ridiculous, too. bb639579f855404b7b34abf11a6ce9a1.jpg2263929acfcf7478721eddd14fd1c94a.jpg1e43dc7776930861b80c712c67bf026e.jpg
