  1. Thank you, Youthman! This is very helpful!
  2. Thanks to all for your support! I feel no pressure. I really appreciate your offers and advice!
  3. Thanks, Tasdom. I ran across that one today -- was glad to see an Icon option come back. I am a little goosey about not matching the fronts but wondered if staying in the Klipsch line made that a non issue. Or if, within the Klipsch line to have the same porting design as the KB's. And I don't have comparisons between the crossover specs.
  4. Both of these appear to be high quality centers with very good reviews. Any ideas as to which (if either) would pair with my KB-15's? Advantages to sealed vs. ported? This will sit on a built in counter below the wall mounted TV (not yet mounted so height is not an issue. Counter depth is 25". Primary use will be HT with some music.
  5. Thanks, Billybob! I checked these out. Nice system but for now all I require is the center channel. My room is pretty large (deep with 14' cathedral ceiling) so I probably need something a bit bigger. I don't usually push the volume unless it is a great action movie but never at reference levels. As for the search, I figured it out and have been pouring through many posts. Sure is a lot of good info here. Just a bit hard to get it narrowed down.
  6. I stumbled on this site from another forum I've been scouring. I am upgrading my modest HT setup from a Polk RM6750 satellite system to something a bit more robust. I purchased a set of KB-15 Icons which were on sale and while I understand this line was not well received these are certainly an upgrade from the Polks. My current AVR is a older Denon 590 which will get an upgrade to support my new 4K Samsung TV. An ongoing room renovation will include a pair of Yamaha 3 way in-ceiling surrounds. The Polk sub will suffice for now but will get an upgrade. My current focus is on a center channel. And here are the questions: 1. Klipsch seems to have produced a significant number of center channel models in various price ranges. Some lines ported in front, some in back, some unported. Sonically, what is the difference? There seem to be a number of models, both new and used in my price range ($200 or below). 2. How important is it for the center channel woofers size to match those of the bookshelf speakers? 3. I have come across several used models that I'm considering: RC 3, RC250, RC 52, R-25C, R-25C. I have not found a K-25. Of these various options what might you knowledgeable Klipsch owners suggest and why? Thank you for whatever guidance you can lend this new Klipsch fan.
  7. Is this the RC52 II? Front ported?
  8. Teaman, I just might be interested. PM me for price? IbizaFlame, I figured the two were pretty close with just a different color of woofer. I'll check the various sites for that as well. Newegg had the Icon just a few weeks back and I failed to pull the trigger thinking they wouldn't sell out...but they did. Thanks to both of you for your responses! I appreciate it.
  9. I'm located in North Carolina. Only reason for the KC-25 is a match to my KB-15's. I figure a R-25C would be an upgrade to that. Just recapping a modest HT setup from Polk RM6750 satellite system. I picked up the Icons on sale and am relatively pleased with them. The center channel really needs an upgrade now.
  10. Looking for an Icon center channel or perhaps an R-25C.
