  1. I run two sets of Klipsches with separate power amps. LaScalas with a pair of Heresys. I have a Conrad Johnson pre amp with two pre amp outs. One pair outputs to a Threshold 400a (110wpc) which drives the rear Heresys and the other preamp out goes to a pair of Dynaco MK-III's (65wpc). I have found that the imaging is negatively affected when operating the two units together. However, there is an increase in the bass response. I use it mainly for watching VHS and DVD's. Still a purist, I haven't made the move to surround sound yet.
  2. Gentelman, This has been one of the most entertaining and informative topics I have read so far on this forum. Bi-amping was always something I wondered would improve the overall performance of an already great speaker design. I have bi-wired my LaScallas and maybe other than replacing my balancing network can't imagine altering anything else. However, I am always open to looking at all the options new ideas. Thank you all. Frank and Ernist
  3. Thank you all for your positive feedback. Now that I have heard all the wonderful advantages the ALK "A series" upgrades have done for your Klipschs, has anyone experienced anything less? Is there anything else I should be addressing or other speaker upgrades that I should know about?
  4. Has anyone had any experience with the ALK Engineering upgrade for the Klipsch "A series" balancing network found in Klipschorn, La Scala and Belle Klipsch? I have a pair of 10 year old La Scalas and wondered if this upgrade would be just that. An upgrade! Thank you in advance for any suggestions, recomomdations or feedback.
