I was just recently looking for a quintet center channel. I have seen past ebay auctions selling them for up to $180 which I think is way overpriced. I was eventually able to purchase one for $90 which is probably too cheap. Just so you know the price range.

I currently have a Sony Pro Logic receiver. I will soon purchase a new Dolby Digital/DTS receiver, and want to know if I have to connect a video cable along with a digital audio cable to get the digital surround sound. All the setup guides and manuals say thats how you should hook it up. Is that just for video switching, or does it have something to do with the audio decoding? Thanks and sorry for asking such a stupid question.

The Outlaw 1050 is almost twice as much. I am a poor college student, so I don't have an extra $200-$250. I need to keep it $300-$350. If there are any other decent recievers in this price range(which I know is very low) please let me know. Thanks.

I have a set of Quintets and was wondering if anybody has used them with some budget receivers(sub $300). I have read good reviews about the Onkyo DS494, but have also heard that the Denon 1602 has good quality sound and more power. I have heard the Onkyo 797 and was blown away. Have not heard any Denon receivers. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
