Check out 'cloudynights.com'. There is more info on Selsi scopes. Apparently they are quite old, but may have decent optcs. I've got a few telescopes, a 90mm Williamsl optics, and some handmade reflectors. Living in the city isn't great for viewing however...

There are now more of the same format scam ads on Ebay. Just search for Klipschorn, and one will be amazed at the number of seemingly scam ads ! And all offer free shipping! All for $1200! Give me a break! Are the Ebay people asleep??? Jeez.

Damn, I have base bins and modded top hats but I'm in NC. We could always put these on a pallet. I might even have some f the drivers or crossovers you want to use, who knows.
Looks to be a 2 day drive minimum each way to Texas locations, probably 3 days to NC. However I do have the Vanagon camper....Where do I sleep?

Well apparently everyone else's icon shows their location, but as a NEWBIE, I guess it doesn't! Not sure I understand that, but anyway....

Suspicious Fleabay ads:
and
and there are at least 6 more ALL with the same photo from worldwide locations....hmmm sure seems like a scam to me. Don;t people pay alot of money for Fleaday to monitor this ?? I know I lose around 15% from every sale.

Looking for Klipschorns, pretty much any condition, but complete. Price goes with condition, obviously. My plan is to use the bass bin, and update the midrange & tweeter. First however, I need to acquire a pair and listen & evaluate.
I have seen a few using searchtempest, but all are far away, and most sellers won't bother with shipping, which can be $$$. Prices vary from below $2K to around $4800, depends on year & condition I suppose. Most I have seen are around $2500 to $3K, pair.
Was hoping someone in the western states might be selling?

Would make sense for the Heresy to use stuffing, as it is a sealed box, minimizes echo, as well as acoustically enlarging the cabinet.

Too bad these are, again, too far away. No one seems to have K horns around CO. They look beautiful.

I probably should have posted my Dean build here but I hate having to post multiple places. Here is the link to it on AK. It involves a 3D model I did in google sketchup and then machining it with a Shopbot CNC machine. All panels interlock with another via slots. I added a central reinforcment panel as recommended that also supports the mid/high horn.

Old post, but very interested in the Sketchup file you generated for the University "Dean" plans. I am planning to build a set, as I cannot find them (or K horns) for sale. Let me know, Thanks!

Located here in Denver, I would LOVE to get those, as I have been looking for K-horns. They look gorgeous, and from what I hear Jubilee's sound fantastic. Cannot seem to find K horns or Jubilees around this area. Best of luck to you!

So it is 2 years later, has anyone out there "plugged" those sinus access holes and tested PWK' s assertion regarding the 60hz bump in bass response? Also, are these the only extensions to the Vb seen by the rear of the driver? I am curious, as the bass response graphs I have seen show a rather peaked response around 100-150Hz, and a steep notch at ~70hz. The K-horns I recently heard SOUND like that - the bass was very peaked and not at all what I expected. Once I have a chance to measure, I would want to check the response. Was unable to find the measurement method for the notch_effect_4 data.
