Thanks! Someone pointed out to me that I do not have enough room for the 7.1 setup with two in the back seats. I'm using the RF-82IIs as the side surrounds currently but may use the 62s since they are purposed for that function. I just need time to play with the setup to find a happy medium.Looks like my old basement room. Very nice!
Remember, surrounds should be mounted to your side and not behind you if at all possible.

Great deal! I would snag them up if I could!

Monoprice banana plugs installed. These are such a timesaver (banana plugs)! Anyhow, it appears I have an extra pair of speaker wires to goes to an unknown location that I will have to find out one day.
If you guess right to where it goes/or was intended , I'll send you a $10 gift card to your favorite shop. I have a hunch but we will see. Stay tuned! l
I got lucky and found a guy selling his 5.1 setup which happened to have the RC-64 and RS-62 I was searching for. He was able to find buyers for his towers and sub and shot me a message asking if I was still interested in the center and surrounds. I told him Hell Yeah, and arranged to pick it up across Texas. Sound panning is a whole lot more uniform across the front sound stage with the RC-64 now.
Next up is to find a location to mount the surrounds. More than likely they will be on the back wall.
The sectional seating may have to be moved forward a bit more for better imaging. Once the location is dialed in, new wiring will be routed to it through the walls as well as installing new sub connections closer to their resting place. I picked up some tools for the job at Harbor Freight. I love this store!
I currently have one sub right behind the couch near the back wall and the second up front right. The front right isn't doing so well for bass partly perhaps due to the huge gaping archway.
A distracting echo is present up near the top edge of the front wall which I need to figure out how to get rid of. I also think I figured out why my projector keeps turning off/blanking out. I have HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 AVR output hooked up going to the Projector and so I am assuming it was getting a bad handshake. I disconnected HDMI 2 wire and that seemed to fixed the problem.
Ordered a Sony UBP-X800 on E-bay for a decent price. Target had a clearance on them for 89.99 so people were buying up all of them and flipping them for a profit which I'm sure whom I purchased it from did. I tried to see if Best Buy would match but they do not do it for clearance items. I may pick up the Sony UBP-X700 to use in the living room. A review mentioned that the X700 has a more natural color profile where the X800 had a slightly more saturated color profile. Doesn't like coming up the theater room often so she has called it my Man Cave now.
With all the speakers up on a better quality scale, I find my two ceiling speakers kind of dull for Atmos. I'll have to recheck the Audessy calibration setting and may have to manually adjust the gain/distance. The Dolby setup guide mentions that some AVR speaker autocalibration systems has a tendency to incorrectly adjust ceiling speakers and subwoofers. Either way, I have my eyes set on some Klipsch 5800s or anything better than my current R2650-Cs for the right price. Once that's out of the way, a dedicated amp is next so I can run another set of ceiling speakers.

If you're willing to part the 5800s, let me know.

I've had these for maybe less than 2 years.

Yes it's coming out of the loudspeaker. I tested it with another outlet last night downstairs and still got the same thing. I also noticed the hum was louder with the line input plugged in.Me too.... but
Took some pictures but did not notice much of a deformity in the caps.

Not sure what happened there but I tested all the outlets in the rooms and the closest one down the stairs with an extension cord. I'll just being the sub down and check each room as well since they're not heavy anyways.Sorry, you lost me on that one.

NnfI'm not quite sure how it could be a ground issue if there's no ground lug on the plate amp pig tail.
Instead of lugging them upstairs, you might try running a long extension cord and plug them in on a known different circuit.

Glad I didn't get behemoth subs to be lugging up and down the stairs.

Whipped up a quick media shelf with scrap wood leftover and parts from Home Depot. Not too shabby. I'll make an improved version one day.

I'll being them both downstairs and see if anything changes. If nothing, then I'll pull apart the amps and meter out the caps and see if they're bad.

Yeah.
Yep. The R10SWs.Klipsch subs?

I guess both subs are bad. What luck.If you have a 2 prong plug and there's nothing else hooked up to the sub then the amp is bad.

It's coming out of the sub from what I can tell.

Sorry but I just want to make sure, the hum is coming out of the speaker? Or the amp inside is humming?

It's a 2 prong.Is your power cord 2 or 3 prong from the sub?

Yes, it hums with and without plugged inDoes it do it with the input cable removed from the plate amp?

I finally got around to doing the subwoofer crawl to try and locate my two 10SWs. Doing so I noticed a hum from both subs.
There's no cable box up here in the media room and all are located downstairs. Would that matter?
The hum is present without audio input. I've unplugged the AVR and projector as well as the other sub to see if it's anything in the media room that might cause it but the hum is still present.

The Reference II line always seemed to be brighter than the RF-63’s that I owned. I honestly believe the 3 woofer Reference Klipsch speakers were underrated but not by the people that own or have owned them.
I still keep my eyes peeled for 83’s or 63’s on the used market but they are on the rare side, like the RB-75.
I have never looked into how they sounded and assumed the difference was negligible. Not once did I think it A-B my RC62II with the 83s. In the scope of things, it would be easier to sell the 82IIs should I not keep them.
Now if you're close to this guy: https://tulsa.craigslist.org/ele/d/klipsch-surround-sound/6719407616.html for a fair price on the 83s.
I'd hop on it if I was local.

Picked up a pair of mint RF-82IIs with boxes and a used Denon x4300 along with a Panamax 5300. The AVR is missing antennas, remote and power cord. I couldn't afford the RC64 after purchasing these so I'll continue searching next month.
The 82s are my surrounds while I wait for some some RS-52s or 62s for 7.x.x config. One thing I did notice was the 82iis were a little on the brighter side then the 83s.
Still building my center stand.

You mean what I know. Lol.
RS-62 not RC.
I currently have a RC-62II but I would like to have the original RC-64 to match my RF-83s.

Yeah I've been watching that one and a few others.
Here's a RC-64ii on ebay.
