  1. I have two questions concerning a dvd/sacd player: 1. Can anyone give me a recommendation of a good medium priced dvd/sacd player. 2. Will I really need 5 interconnects to listen to sacd, or will a coaxial cable do the job. Thanks
  2. Thanks for the replies I think the biggest improvement was the addition of the AudioPrism Wave Guide. I read this article from Soundstage (back issue article) Called "Hot Rod Receivers" It talked about how to get the most out of your reciver, they recommended the wave guide and everything they claimed it would help. It Did.
  3. Will I've come to the conclusion that it will probably be sometime before I'll be able to move up the audio ladder with high end separate components, etc; So I thought I would invest in some audio tweaking to see if I could get better sound with what I have now. I just recently added (1) AudioPrizm Wave-Guide (both Receiver and CD player power cord running through it), a set of Vibrapods under my CD player & a set of Bright Star Isonodes under my DVD player. I was feeling kind of skeptical when I placed the order of weather I was spending wisely. I'm glad I went ahead and did it. The biggest improvements I noticed was in soundstaging. I use to have to focus on hearing soundstaging, Now it's just there, another improvement I noticed was dvd concerts use to sound kind of harsh, and now they sound smooth. I introduced these items all at once so I'm not sure which item made the biggest improvement. It's got me wanting to investigate other options. Has any one used a Blue Circle BC86 MKII noise hound, or PS Audio Power Port and Ultimate Outlet. Your input would be greatly appreciated. 4. I'm sure this question has been addressed before. When I first auditioned my rf-3's that were being driven by a top of the line Adcom amp. I was very impressed by the soundstage they created, and they were'nt even placed in the recommended positions from the back and sidewalls. Right now I'm not in a position to purchase a two thousand dollar amp. and needless to say I can'nt seem to get the same effect from my denon receiver. My question is would a B&K St 125.2(125 watts/channel) or even a 55 watts/channel amp to drive my two front speakers in two channel music help with soundstaging and low level listening detail. Has anyone added a power amp to their denon receiver to help in their two channel music listening. Klipsch rf-3 mains Klipsch rc-3 center Klipsch sb-1 rears Klipsch ksw-12 sub. 5. Hello everyone I,m a new guy on block. And I have a question on speaker cable which I'm sure has been asked before. But her it goes again. I currently have Kimber Kable 4PR (singled-wired) from my Receiver to my Mains. I also replaced the Gold plated strap with 4PR for the heck of it. I'm looking to possibly upgrade to 'Chord` Odyssey, My question is can I use the Kimber Kable (all copper conductor #14) for the low feq. run and use the Chord Odyssey which consists of (19 strands 12awg silver plated ofc) for the high freq. run and Bi-wire my speakers without messing up my Receiver or Speakers. Can you mix speaker cable. Thanks in advance.
