  1. I have a Onkyo 730 receiver and would like to use an older yamaha 665 For my mains. Do i connect the front left, right and center to the preouts on the Onkyo but the Yamaha has only "preouts" for the fronts? Also, there is a trigger connection on both receivers that I will connect to. Will this control the power and volume? Appreciate any suggestions.

  2. I have noticed that when i look at some answers to sub questions most of the respondents list SVS subs in their setup equipment? I currently have two R-120SW subs and satisfied with their sound. Should my next upgrade be SVS?

  3. Usually a newer model {R-120SW} cost more because improvements take time and money for R&D and tooling. The R-12SW in production since 2014 was selling online  two weeks ago for $449 and the new improved model {R-120SW} is listed in several places for $359?  I was seriously considering buying the R-12SW for a few months and almost purchased it for $449. Best Buy had a few open box R-12SW for $379 so I when I went to the store there was a R-120SW that was returned after a week because the purchaser said it was not comparable with his system and discounted  to $305. The. Speaker looked new and was returnable if I was not satisfied. The new speaker sounds good but I question if the discountinued R-12SW was a better speaker?

  4. Purchased a KC-25 Icon center channel speaker and felt something was missing so I was going to return it and ordered a R-25. The new speaker arrived two days later and it sounded great. While I had the KC-25 I realized the specs were similar toany replacement speakers and for $109. It might be a good substitute for the front, so I ordered another. It’s not conventional but it sounds good for the price. My question is can Two KC-25 work as front speakers with R-25 as the center.
