off-axis response among multiple seating positions is actually far superior with them being vertical and it's easily provable.  Much flatter.  With it being horizontal you get wonky dips in the response from lobing / comb filtering shenanigans.

Thank you! I was wondering if you can help me with one more question. What do you think as far as going with three of these upfont as a LCR vs going with three KL-650 Ultra's ? I have been going back and fourth between them and I am kind of torn...By the way it will be in a 7.4.4 set up for only movies.

Is there any reason you can't use Emile's idea?  ^^^

I also have turned large speakers on their side.  Maybe not perfect by some metric but to my ears it sounded pretty good.

    CF-4's as L/R.  Dual 12" woofers

Wow talking about big speakers 😲 Those must sound amazing! Reason why I can't do it is that, I also have two subs under that screen, therefore will not be any room over the subs for the speaker to go side ways...The whole wall is 92" in length and my subs are about 17" each in width. So 34" is taken by them.

The quick answer is "yes" the MTM 600C can be used as a L/C/R.

I would not advise it as the Klipsch center speaker is voiced to be a center, not a main.  I can't answer technically but a good guess would be that the 600C would not dig as deep as mains and the voicing would be geared towards reproducing male and female voices and vocals in the mid range.

Minor thread drift:  I tend to like the timbre in center speakers with 6 to 7 inch woofers.  I use the RC-64 III which uses four 6.5" woofs.

Thank you! Problem is that I only have 25" from bottom of the screen to the ground therefore can't use anything taller than that...

  4. Hi guys,

I was wondering if someone can help me. I have a situation where I only have about 25 inches below my screen. Therefore I was wondering if any of the Klipsch centers such as the RP250C or 600C would work vertically as a LCR? I do realize that the 90x90 Hybrid Tractric Horn on the Klipsch should have an even dispersion even with them seatting vertically. Is that correct or am I wrong here? Thank you in advance.

Actually those look like women's hands. If so, please accept my apology. If you are a man, please accept my apology for saying you have woman hands...I can't win here :blush2:

Maybe if you have nothing nice to say, you shouldn't be saying anything at all :)  And yes those are my wife's hands since I was still at work and wanted to respond to WVU80. Now since we got that out of the way, can we get back to the thread and offer some help ??

    Which ones did you get?

Given a man of your high standards, I would expect you to get these, for five thousand, forty-two dollars, and thirteen cents.

After you hit the billion dollar Mega Millions jackpot on Friday the price of these cables will be a drop in the bucket for you.  B)

Hahaha I will be buying it as well and if I win, I promise to get everyone a set :)

Thank you for the links bud. I was looking at those Maze ones earlier...They look nice but I refuse to give up on my search lol

I found my straps, we can do this the other way around in terms of measurements.  They are gold in color and I think they are from my CF-4's.

The long part of the strap is 1.25".  I think if we match up that way we should be good to go.  The center-to-center on the posts should also be inch and a quarter, maybe 1 1/16".

    Dave,

Thank you so much. Here are the measurments that I have. The long part on mine is 3/4 of an inch but from center to center I am at 1.1/4 ...Does that make sense?? I am including few pics of what I mean...

I think you'll find somebody with a set because a lot of people throw those away immediately for an upgrade of inexpensive wire jumpers.

What is the length you have?  I have a few sets somewhere but they are not all the same size.  If I have the right ones I'll just drop them in the mail for you.

I would suggest you make a nice set of wires.  Google "speaker jumper wires" for some other pictures and suggestions.  It's an easy DIY project and they look great.

Or you could pull all the jumpers and bi-amp.  B)

Thank you guys!! If I can't find them , I would definitely go the jumper wires route. That is what I have there now. I made a set of those from my speaker wires but I kinda like the clean look. Plus I would like to match the other side :(

WVU80 thank you for your generosity :)  I ordered  this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002KQZUW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 from amazon but they were too long. I will get the length when I get home and let you know but they are not too long.

Btw below is the way I have it now...

  9. Hi Guys,
New member here and was wondering if any of you can help me. I purchased a used set of R28f towers and when they came in, one of them was missing the Jumper Plates. Needles to say my twitter wasn't working. Meantime I ran a speaker wire just to get it working. I called Klipsch but they can only sell me the whole back plate with the crossover and binding posts for over $80 and I only need the jumpers. Does any of you guys have a spare set that is willing to sell me ?? Thank you so much in advance and I really appreciate it.
