musicmatch jukebox is a good program for ripping/encoding.

yea i gave it alot of thought and research.but the price (150) and display qaulity finaly won over pure fps for me.plus the radeon is ready for some of the directx8 features(coming soon).by christmas though the prices should be even lower i just couldn't wait any longer once i seen the price drop to 150 .

well i finally was brave enough to remove my old trusty vd2's and install a radeon 32ddr.first impression wasnt as big of difference as i expected but the more im playing the better its getting.deffinetly blows my old rage fury away.i've been running most games at 1280x1024 with all options on with very little slow down.anyone else using the radeon?

the radeon32 ddr is the best value if you play your games at 32 bit and high resolutions.you can get them for 150 after 50 mail in rebate from best buy or for just over 150 on price watch with out rebates.they tear up the mx for close to the same price with many more features,better 2d,and industry leading video.

how goes the new klipschmonster.did you end up with that big sony?my new celeron has worked great definetly a good buy.

well got my new cII in.the bios flash for my mobo must of worked fine because it reads the correct speed. the only wierd thing is my multiplyer setting only goes to 8 and i need 8.5 but it still works fine in the 8 setting.the most i could get out of it so far was 900 but it didnt seem to stable so i've got it down to 875 till i can do some more testing. heres acouple of quicke benchmarks i threw at it(i haven't been able to get the 3d to work yet though). pII400(@450) zd99cpu 35.4 zd99 business graphics 168 cII566(@850) zd99cpu 58.5 zd99bg 276 cII566(@900) zd99cpu 63 zd99bg 290

asus p2bf. asus said it should hit those numbers if its a latter version of the board.i wanted a p3, but not the total investment. gotta save up for a vid card ya see!hehehe should have it by the end of next week.will post results when i get it.im going to run some before and after benchmarks.just crossing my fingures till then.

hey all i finally broke down and bought a new chip. i ordered a cII566 on an abit convertor with a golden orb cooler for 140$.just flashed my bios last night so i hope i can hit the 850(maybe higher) mark with my mb.i was going to get a p3 but didn't want to spend the extra $ on new mb and/or ram.need a new vid card soon.

biege?argh is right.you must buy one that matches your pro's.hehe or you could always break out your paint can again.have you looked at viewsonics?acouple of my friends have the lower models and they are nice(plus they come in black).

read a few reviews and that radeon is definetly looking good.exspecialy at high resolutions,and thats what your going to want with a 21 or 24 monitor.i found the radeon 64 mb ddr on pricewatch for 295.

boy i hate to say this being a long time voodoo owner but the geforce2 seems to beat it up pretty bad.the only time the voodoo even seems to come close is with high resolution 1024+ and with fsaa on.and i cant speak from(not seeing the geforce2 in action) experience but the voodoos seem to work with everything and theres always that glide thing.people said glide would be dead by now but you still see games coming out supporting it.tough choice im glad i dont have to make it right now. lol

ok here's my opinion. 21 trinitron,24 is to large to sit in front of mb,asus with new via 133 chip set 256 micron pc133 p3 600e(oc'd to 800) live w/live drive cheapest geforce2,tests show they almost keep with 64mb at close to 150 less plextor and the pioneer sounds good ibm 7200 rpm hd of at least 20 gig,probably bigger

eek,that one took me at least 30 tries.i'm finished with both but am now going back thru evolution with traffic and cops.i still dont have all the bonus cars though.thats what im after.have you tried playing modem to modem with anyone?my friends and i haven't yet but tried with nfs3 and it was so choppy we couldn't play.anyway go buy the retail it's worth every penny.

get the retail version its worth the money.i run a p2400(at458) 128mb and vd2 sli with no problems.hey k wait till you get to the 2 180's and a 360.
