  1. First time making an alert.. here you go: https://reverb.com/item/56177843-local-pickup-ma-vintage-klipsch-la-scala-lascala-ls-br-floorstanding-speakers-pair
  2. -30 to -25 db below reference thanks, so I understand that this affects L/R. I think the center is the problematic one, is that possible to adjust? I don't see that as an exclusive setting. I guess I gotta get a newer receiver and download an app? Which one of these frequencies affects the "shrill" of a higher frequency? Is that 8k and 16k? should I turn those down into the negatives? Cheers
  3. yea, you're literally reading my mind haha. Imagine buying speakers, only to store them in your garage for when you 'move out.' lmao
  4. Good point, I'm trying to think of an alternative solution.. It seems the best thing to do is figure out a way to get a transparent screen and place the speakers behind.
  5. You're 100% correct with your theory. That was the plan. But, family doesn't like that area being too cluttered. So I may just store the 8000s until I move out and stick with the 600s and 504c for now. Although, now I'm wondering if simply elevating the screen 15 inches would do the trick. Then I could get rid of the table and just put 3 8000s under the screen. Joe -- 1. I'm curious, did you do any manual EQ with your 450c? The 504c is very nice, but the highs have too much shrill for my taste. 2. Also, how is the sound dispersion for you? Do you find the 450c being too 'narrow' of a sweet spot? If so, does that annoy you?
  6. Unfortunantley no, this is how my current set-up looks like (2 600ms and a 504c). I gotta figure out a way to do 3 8000s without blocking the screen lol. I guess I'd gotta get a transparent screen. https://imgur.com/a/FGUPHMU
  7. Three 8000fs for L/C/R or Two 8000f and One 504c? I keep reading that having the same speakers for L/C/R is important? What are your thoughts? Currently I am planning on doing Two 8000f and One 504c. Isn't the 504c built differently? (focused on dialogue). Or, no, it's still better to do three of the same speakers in front of you?
  8. Currently, I have a Denon 3500h and it's been good to me all these years. My room has terrible accoustic treatment, so I noticed my new RP klipsch home theater speakers have 'shrill' during the high frequency movie scenes. I'm looking to upgrade my receiver and I was wondering what you guys think. Is Denon still a go-to receiver for warmer sound to balance klipsch's 'shrill' highs? I've read NAD and HK are good as well. Or..... it doesn't matter which one I get, I just need to manually 'EQ' my speakers to get rid of the 'shrill'? I've never manually EQ'd before. I've only done automatic Audssey calibrations in the past. I've been reading a lot about 'manual EQ' and people seem to do that to make their klipsch sound 'warmer.' I'm just nervous I'll ruin the clarity and sound quality. (I primarily use speakers for HT)
  9. I love this idea.. hmm, maybe when I move into a new place, I can place the center farther from the viewers.
  10. I think you’re right. I ran a test last night. I placed the L and R on chairs on either side of the screen toed in. I noticed a whole new listening experience. It was a lot better. it’s going to be tough to mount the center up top because it’s almost 40 pounds. But let me ask you this… Are you implying that centers mounted high up increases the dispersion? I’m assuming the sound waves reflect off the ceiling and fall on the viewers?
  11. How are your Heresy fronts? sounds epic!
  12. I just want to be clear to everyone here. - the 504c ii has very crisp and clear dialogue - has enormous volume - no one has trouble understanding dialogue I am just annoyed because I can feel the small presence of the 'dispersion cone..' Based on seating, I can tell whether or not listeners are in the sweet spot. The center is now elevated to head level and that has helped. I have an awkward rectangle room, so I guess I am expecting too much. First-person PoV https://imgur.com/a/FGUPHMU Room https://imgur.com/a/ORUeGDl
  13. Alright guys, I’m so confused hahaha. Forget I asked. I guess I gotta figure out how to increase my center dispersion or get a whole new system in the future. I elevated the center with door stoppers and that helped.
  14. I just realized, you’re suggesting I buy two of the same centers and sit them side by side, thus having two tweets disperse sound? Is that correct? I didn’t even know you can have 2 center channels. Why don’t more people do that?
  15. interesting, why? how is the 504 ii not better at dispersion than a discontinued product? thanks
  16. I find myself using Audyssey Dynamic Volume ‘light’ to hear good dialogue. Is this the correct approach or should I just turn up the DB of my center channel? home theater only klipsch 504c ii
  17. I’m finding that the 504c ii is not enough wide dispersion for our awkward living room. It’s good but not to my liking. I am using 600m ii and 502s ii for the rest of my 5.1 system. Question: what center brands have paired well with Klipsch speakers with no timbre issues (and has great dispersion)? Overall, I’m thinking of trying a different brand for my center.
  18. Hey guys, 1. I already have Audyssey MultEQ XT32 Reference set. Is Audyssey Flat better for movies and music? 2. Just curious, what does 'rolling off high frequencies' even mean in terms of sound? I still get the klipsch quality sound right? 3. Should I turn Dynamic EQ Off?
