Well....shipping those brutes really cost money. An arm and a leg to be exact. I have a the same model but in cherry with 2 broken drivers. I am willing to pay fast for 2 woofers drivers if you post them in ebay. Just make sure you pack them well. In my opinion.....you will be making more money selling the parts than selling the set for that price. My opinion of course. Let me know your thoughts.

I have a beautiful pair of RF-7's in Maple finish. This is the original version of the RF-7. The woofers and horns are in perfect condition physically and sonically. The cabinets are virtually mint with a couple very minor issues. The footers are in excellent condition and come with the original rubber tip inserts. I do not have the spikes. The grills are flawless with no broken pegs. They are a matched pair with consecutive serial numbers. Of course they sound as awesome as they look.

They are for local pickup in Redding, California. I am willing to meet or even deliver within a reasonable distance for the right deal. I'm asking $750.

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, thanks!

These should be replacement woofers for the RF-7.

I think I got that quote right...

From what I've been able to garner, decreasing the value of resistance in this mod doesn't "pad the tweeter down."  Rather, it "unpads" the frequency-shaping elements in parallel with the tweeter, allowing greater "suckout" of the particular frequencies upon which the elements are operating.  The overall level of the tweeter output would not change, but there would be a greater decrease in output centered at that one band, wherever it may be.

Well. I am so pissed off. I got a pair in Ebay for $800.00 free shipping. The guy told me they were in great shape. Once i took the drivers out...I notice one driver do not even move. I tried to push the cone gently in. WTF???  Is frozen rock solid. It does not move at all. The other drivers move in and out. Now... I am ******* screwed ..... I can not do shit without one damage driver. I contacted the guy / seller from ebay... he is Not even answering me. Now ....I am stuck.

How much did you spend in Crossover parts????

According to what I have see so far on forums.....you just need to add a 10 ohms  in parallel with the 2 ohms resistor on the tweeter to pad it down.  I can see this crossover is custom made. Could you please be so kind and tell me if I need to do more than the 10 ohms resistor mod on the tweeter to pad it down? Your recommendatios are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hoping the project is finished.

The box is hand made: plywood 10 mm and natural oak 1.5 mm.
