  1. Hi Bev, I also have Chorus II's for my mains and have had it with a KTCLR THX center for several years and am also upgrading. Have you considered a Quartet? it's in the same family as the Forte' II and Chorus II, exact same midrange driver for all 3 in fact (K-61-K). I would have liked a Quartet but, it's been hard to find them so, I just decided on a new Heresy II. I think it will be a much closer match to the Chorus II than my KTCLR and even the Academy for that matter. Good luck in your search. ~Tom~
  2. Hi all, need some help! For the record I own a pair of chorus II's (oak oiled) for my mains and have a KTCLR for my center channel (black laquered). 4 months ago I decided to purchase a Heresy II for my center speaker. At first I was just going to order the black laquered finish because I thought oak oil wasn't available anymore. The dealer called me back saying that they only have satin black, not laquer in the Heresey II. So, I asked if I could get oak oil to match my Chorus II's, someone over at Klipsh said yes! So I placed the order for the oil finish and waited 4 freakin' months only to open the box at my dealer to find it was laquer finish so, I told him I didn't want it. Klipsch obviously has some mis informed people working for them! So I have some choices here. Get my deposit back or order a black laquer finish (which I was going to in the first place 4 months ago!) or get the raw oak finish and stain it myself. If I go with the raw oak finish is there someone out there that knows what color the stain was for oak oil??? Anyone who used to work at Klipsch building speakers in the mid 90's or earlier on the forum that would know?? I already told my dealer to find out how long it would take for another Heresy II and he is going to find out. If it takes longer that 3 weeks Klipsch/my dealer has lost the sale. I'm not gonna wait another freakin' 4 months again because Klipsch sales doesn't know what finishes their speakers come in!!! Thanks in advance for your help and letting me vent my frustrations, Tom
