Well they quit making them years ago they were replaced by the 600's and now the 600-II's so I imagine once the inventory is depleted they'll just be gone. Last I checked they've already sold almost 300 pairs just on eBay. The speakers do sound very good honestly I could probably get by with them in my room without a sub and be happy, surprising amount of bass out of these little guys.
Definitely, i enjoy my RP-160M, i bought them probably 4+ years ago in piano black open box special for $325 which was a great deal.

Forte Gen 1Decided I would look also before recc. them again. Yes maybe but, will look yet again at both. You'll definitely want the one that will fit, of course. Adjustable is nice. One member here has used coins attached to the passive for adjust.
May take a chat or call to determine before hand.
BTW, which model speaker?
-
Yup! I see one for $60 (paper cone) and one for $120 ( aluminum cone) the aluminum comes with adjustable weights which is nice. Wouldn't the paper one have more of the traditional sound compared to the aluminum one?Have seen different ones listed for sale here in this section.
Someone has a pair.
Did you look at Parts Express?
Thanks!

I already checked and they said they have a superceded part # K-13-K which is now discontinued.Matter not fact is Klipsch Parts may have them...- 1

Bump.
Any ideas on a aftermarket replacement? -
I'm looking for two in good working condition.
My dog managed to destroy both of my passive radiators.

Thanks!

Or equivalent. One or a pair will work.
My kid managed to destroy the two active drivers on my KG 3.2
I see Midwest speaker repair makes a replacement.
Should I buy these ?

Pm sentI have 2 k-400 horns that I pulled out of a really rough pair of Lascala. They do not match, apparently one is older than the other (sand cast). I will sell either of the 2 for $150 or both for $250. I have resprayed these with black spray bomb. I would need to work on getting a proper box to ship these, but I can figure that if someone is interested. Of course they’re available for pickup in and around Chattanooga. I also have a single push pin connector k-55v and a single k-55m if you have interest in those. Message me and we can discuss it.
Thanks.

When people don't hear "one voice", they throw in the towel. The only thing he really needed to do was find a single K-55 off of eBay. He could have done the network thing later.
Like I told someone else lately, the pearl-clutching over capacitors kind of needs to stop, there just isn't any real point to it. Over the years, and not just on this message board, claims related to varying sound and performance have been all over the map. Unfortunately, even Klipsch hasn't been very consistent with this.
I have never bought into the placebo thing. I would have absolutely no problem sending someone to JEM if they emailed me and said, "I just want them to sound like they did when I first got them." There are also people looking for something different, and there is a market for that too.
Do they just want their speaker fixed, or are they looking for something different? So, we should try and discern what they are looking for and then point them in that direction.
I try to view these threads now as a casual observer, and to be honest, it just looks like noise.
You know what the problem was? One tweeter was blown. The mid-range horns sounded fine to me, I couldn't tell the difference.
The one that was blown had already sold on eBay, I had it listed for $40 I thought that was a fair price. If anyone is interested in buying some of the components please feel free to PM and I'll end the sale on EBay. I have no idea if the prices I listed for the individual components are fair or not, I just did a quick eBay history on sold items.
I still have the cabinets.( The are for sale locally, )if no one buys them, I'll just keep them for a future project and buy all matching components.

This is the collateral damage of what history will refer to as “The Great Capacitor Wars of the Early Twenty-first Century”
Yeah I was a bit overwhelmed with everything.
I already have a bunch of unfinished projects on my hand ( Polk SDA-2B, Forte Gen 1 & infinity rsIIIb)
I'll just use the $$ from this part out towards Those projects.
The fortes are matching # everything works, and they sound better to my old ears over the heresy IMHO, only problem was some cabinet damage which I'm already in the process of fixing.

I'll bet if you didn't open them up or take off the grills, you wouldn't have known the difference.
I could tell. One speaker's midrange sounded different IMHO.
If I had time, I would measure them with my Umik-1 and REW
