My friends all have girlfirends... and they have no time for me, so I have no one to hang with. My usual night consists of staring at this forum, the DIYaudio forum, HeadWize, and Head-Fi. That is all I can do to pass the time... posting is slowing down... things to do are running out. I just need someone to talk to that is near me and actually cares... (hard to find at my school- I am not well liked, though I am at the same time. It is a very complex situation. They all like me but won't talk to me... I dunno...) time for class now.

trust me.. girlfriends arent THAT wonderful, although normal friends are.. find one or two good ones you're all set.

fortunatly for me i'm insanely well liked... and was blessed with 3 people that i could tell ANYTHING to. although for a while, i couldnt confide in anyone at all.. that was painful. then a kid moved here (i'm pretty sure god worked that out) and i could really talk to him.. ah yes...

TPG.. you dont have anyone that you can confide in?

  4. I walk into the house, and am greated by a pair of $18k Dunlavy speakers which are taller than me in a listening room...

walk past the study and.. *BAM* some B&W bookshelf speakers on stands powered by a nice SS amp...

Then into the basement... next to the pool table are some Klipsch Fortes.. powered by a tube amp...

then into the other part of the basement... a RPTV so big i cant reach my arms across it(this was thier smaller TV that her younger brother uses for vid games)... and a Paradigm 4.0 setup w/ a Maranetz reciever.

It was quite an experience... i'm gonna marry me this girl >=)

i didnt get to hear any speakers but the Paradigm/Klipsch.. next time i go i'm gonna ask him to let me hear the Dunlavys >=)

This is upcoming. I thought for some reason they were originally targeted to release around this time... but haven't heard a word about it. Not like I could afford it anyway... they are what, $10,000 or so? I forget... shall build my own for that price.

i think they are 1000 dollars for each piece... ie: 5000 for the mains/rears, 2000 for the 2 subs... etc etc

  6. think the RB-5s will go for cheap when the new RB models comes out?

over the summer i was thinking of putting together 5 RB-25s, but if the RB-5s are cheap, i could try 5 RB-5s... for less money (?)

    any thoughts?

also on a side note, when working with 5 monopole identical speakers such as 5 RBs, would mounting all the speakers at the same level off the ground (~5.5-6 feet) make for a better soundfield than having the fronts 3ish feet, and the rears up 5-6 feet on the walls?
