  1. So, I was thinking about hanging my rp-500m speakers on the wall using the threaded mounts. I fount the K&G wall mounts that should support 10kg of weight. These: https://www.k-m.de/en/products/speaker-lighting-and-monitor-stands-and-holders/speaker-wall-mounts/24185-speaker-wall-mount-black-with-3-8-threaded-connector-without-bearing-plate But I was wondering, the threaded insert in the speaker is on the bottom back side. How does a threaded mount prevent the speaker from tipping sideways and partly unscrewing itself? isn’t the weight of the speaker too high for the threaded mounts? It’s not as deep as I would expect. So that would be a lot of leverage effect on a small piece of wood? anyone care to explain this beginners questions to me?
  2. It’s been a while, but how did you solve this? Through the back port? Or woofer? Could you elaborate? I’m having the same issue.
  3. So I have a weird issue. My AVR starts up in 2 parts. First powering on and than another relay releases the sound output. Till yesterday, no sound came through my speakers during this last step. But now, from one speakers, the tweeter produces a very low volume, but notice-able tick sound. A bit like when you’re touching shock wire for cattle. It’s too low to record it. First I thought it was due to faulty amplifier channel. But when I connect it to another channel where the speaker doesn’t produce this tick, it does the same. so, I have a spare tweeter which I used to see if that’s the issue. Same result. Now I’m lost. Could it be the cross over? Is there a way to test? Could it be something else? What could I try to rule things out? Speaker is in bi-amp. Connected to a marantz sr6015. oh, apart from this, speaker seems to be working fine. Rears, center en 1 main speaker don’t have this issue.
  4. How high are your stands? Which ones are you using if I may ask?
  5. Thx guys! I’ll go with the 402s then? Think these are big enough for the room I have. I can place them on either the “couch” wall or place them next to me on stands. Either way, I can’t go wrong with these bi-polar speakers from what I can tell from your replies.
  6. Even with the couch right against the wall? Wouldn’t the 402 Be to close to the wall reflecting against it too much?
  7. Hi, I’m expending/replacing my old speakers for new ones. So far I have the rp-8000f and the rp-500c as center speaker. Now, I’m looking for surround speakers, but my living room is not ideal. I’m having doubts between the rp-500m and the rp-402 or 502s (mounting them in back wall?) I’ve enclosed pictures of my back side living room. As you can see, the couch is also against the wall. Living room pics anybody got some great advice what I should go for? Wide dispersion or narrow? Which speaker would work best? thx!
