  1. HI, I have the Sony 36XBR800(HDTV ready) and i am going to buy a progressive scan DVD player; my question--do i need to buy a HDTV decoder to use the progessive scan on the dvd player? Furthermore,I can't make up my damn mind on these 3 dvd players: Denon 2800 MKII (NOT THE OLDER ONE), Denon 1600 or the Panasonic R-91. thx a mill!!
  2. Hi, Which one do you guys think of highly: Panasonic RP91 Denon 1600 Denon 2800 MKII I heard that the 2800 has the chroma bug (whatever that is) so i am either going with the RP91 or 1600. Comments, questions, concerns? thanks!

  4. Hi, Can you guys tell me what all this mean? I have my 3802 setup to LEF+MAIN and the crossover setup to 120mhz. I really i am lost on these settings: should i just select LFE and maybe put it back to 80? In addition, what do you recommand i set my RSW-10 frequency to? What does a low and high frequ. mean on the rsw-10. again, thanks!

  6. Hi, I am new to this HT stuff. I can't get my 3802 to work on DTS; once i press the DTS button on the denon i get no sound. Do i have to have 6.1 to work? I only have 5.1. Furthermore, the speakers in the back (RB5) are not very loud. I tried increasing the db on them upto +12 and still not very strong, even with the front and center down to +2. Can someone please help me? thanks!

  13. Will the RSW-10 have enough power to keep up, ie you can fell the sound? Will it really be worth spending 200-300 more? thx
  14. kool, thanks! Don't you think that the KSW-15 is more powerful than the RSW-10? Does power matter here or is that the quality? thx
  15. hi, i just want to know if this set-up is OK. RF-5 RB-5 RC-3 KSW-15 My problem is if the RB-5 will out-power the front RF-5 and RC-3. What do you guys think? Do you think i should go with the RB-3 instead? And will my Denon 3802 have enough juice to power all this? THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!
  16. I cant make up my mind, which one you guys think is better? thx
  17. quote: Originally posted by SCOOTERDOG: Trevor, I agree on the seperates issue. I run a seperate power amp for my La Scala's. The thing one must consider is how much they are willing or can spend on a complete new system.I myself have been thru both sides, receivers, seperates, back to using both. Lets look at the Denon 3802 or in my case the 3801. Both have ample power and its good clean power. Excellent D/A conversion and all of the various surround decoders one would need at this point of the game. In my case I use the denon to drive my center and surrounds. Since most of us here have Klipsch speakers then we have the advantage of higher SPL with less power requirements. And in most mid to high end receivers today you will get a very good supply of juice with low noise. the cost for the 3802 he is considering is roughly $1000.00. Now if he was to go into full seperates this cost would easily triple or quadruple. I think he is on the right track for what we plans on investing...IMHO ok, guys, i have no clue what you are talking about! What are seperates? You recommand i hook up the speakers with no receiver? how? thx, This message has been edited by Femtochemistry on 08-18-2002 at 08:29 AM

  19. Hi guys, I can't make up my mind which one i should get. Please help me make up my mind!! I know that i will be getting the RF-3's up front along with RC-3 for the center and the KSW 12 or maybe 15 for the sub. So, which rear in-celling speaker should i go with? Will the RCW 5 over-power the fronts? Should i go with the RCW3 so everything matches? Thx a lot guys!
  20. Hi, So, if the speakers break down, do I have to pay out of pocket for repairs?
  21. Hey justin, Can you tell me what u think about this set-up: 34" 16:9 Panasonic TV (34WX-52) Klipsch: RF-3, RC-3, KSW-12, RS-3 Sony STR-DA3ES (receiver) thx again!
  22. Thx for the info! prolly 50/50...half the time dvd and half the time tv....i am just scared of that "burn" thingy
  23. Hey, I can't make up my mind people! I read that 16:9 are good but they can "burn" the the edges if you watch too much tv using 4:3. Can someone please inform me: pros and cons. Comments, concerns, questions? thx
